Amethyst Dorothein's POV

chapter 4

I opened the door to my penthouse, greeted by Marjorie standing there carrying bags. Her warm smile contrasted with the seriousness in her eyes, a hint of responsibility that echoed my own.

"Good afternoon po, ma'am Amethyst," she greeted, her tone respectful yet familiar. She stepped inside, her four younger siblings trailing behind her, wide-eyed and curious in this new luxurious environment.

"Good afternoon, Marjorie," I replied, motioning for them to make themselves comfortable in the spacious living area. "I'm glad that you didn't come late."

Marjorie ran her hands through her hair, her demeanor professional as always. "Ayaw ko naman pong malate sa first day ko, hehe."

I nodded. "That's good to hear. Upo muna kayo dito." I gestured towards the plush sofa Marjorie and her siblings settled in, their excitement palpable.

I took handed her the stack of papers, where my schedules are written. "This is my schedule, well not completely a schedule yet. Wala pa kasi akong time mag organize at hanapan ng oras ang mga 'yan," she scanned through briefly, mentally noting the packed agenda.

She smiled, then spoke tentatively. "Ako na po bahala mag ayos ma'am."

I smiled warmly, appreciating her professionalism. "Thanks Marj, I really needed your help about this."

She nodded, her expression becoming more focused as she started explaining each item on the schedule. As she spoke, her siblings listened intently, occasionally asking questions or sharing their own observations about the events and locations mentioned.

"At 'yong charity event po, sa Friday," Marjorie concluded, "it requires early preparation po due to the guest list and media coverage."

I nodded thoughtfully. "Thank you."

She smiled gratefully. "I'm glad to help you po, ma'am Amethyst. I mean, it's my job to."

I looked around at her siblings, who were now exchanging excited whispers about the penthouse's amenities. "I hope you all feel at home here. If there's anything you need or if there are any activities you'd like to explore in the city, 'wag kayong matakot na sabihin sa'kin."

Janelle spoke up eagerly. "Thank you po ate Amethyst, maganda na nga po kayo tapos mabait pa!"

Lheyn, with a curious expression, asked, "P'wede po ba talaga kaming mag swimming sa pool po sa labas?"

Jance chimed in, "Tsaka p'wede po ba kami tumalon sa kama?"

"Tapos maglibot po sa lahat ng kwarto?" Zean added, his eyes wide with excitement.

Marjorie and I laughed softly, charmed by their enthusiasm. "Syempre naman! Dito na kayo titira ngayon, so feel free to explore anything."

She glanced at her siblings fondly, then back at me with a grateful smile. "Thank you po talaga ma'am Amethyst, I cannot thank you enough."

"It's my pleasure, and you don't have to call me ma'am. Even if I'm your boss here, consider me as a very close friend" I replied sincerely.

As we continued discussing the schedule and settling into our new routine, I felt a sense of fulfillment. It wasn't just about managing my busy life-it was about creating a supportive environment where my team and their family felt valued and cared for.

The penthouse was abuzz with activity as Marjorie and I unpacked boxes together, organizing the essentials and making the space feel more like home.

"Amethyst, sa'n po ito ilalagay?" Marjorie asked, holding up a stack of leather-bound volumes.
