AS THE GROUP WALKED through the dense forest, Dean took the lead, with Haley and Ben following closely in the middle, while Evan and Sam stayed vigilant at the back. The canopy above was thick, casting shadows that played tricks on their eyes. Despite the lush surroundings, Evan couldn't help but let her eyes wander, her nerves spiking with every rustle of leaves and snap of twigs.

As they came to an unexpected clearing, Sam and Evan jogged ahead of the group, both pairs of eyes locked onto something unusual in the trees. "Dean," Evan called out with urgency.

"What is it?" Dean questioned as he made his way over to them, following their gaze. The three hunters' eyes darted around, taking in the sight of bloody claw marks scratched deeply into the trees.

"You know, I was thinking that those claw prints, so clear and distinct," Sam spoke, a hint of suspicion in his voice. "They were almost too easy to follow." Everyone fell silent, the tension thickening, before a low, menacing growl made all of them whip their heads around, their eyes tracking the movement of the leaves.

Haley's sudden scream pierced the air, making Evan look at her in alarm before a body fell from the trees above. Evan watched in horror as Haley collapsed to the ground, rushing over to help. "You okay?" Evan asked, helping Haley up while Dean bent down to examine Roy, who lay motionless on the ground.

"Damn it, his neck's broken," Dean sighed, frustration etched into his face. Another growl reverberated through the forest, filling the group's ears. "Okay, run, run, run! Go, go, go!" Dean commanded, urging the group to flee.

Evan let her legs carry her through the forest, ignoring the burning ache with every sprint she took. "Shit!" Evan exclaimed as she saw Ben take a hard tumble in front of her. "Let's go. Come on." Evan quickly helped the younger boy up, both of them continuing their desperate sprint.

A sudden, blood-curdling scream made Evan push her body to the limit, running as fast as she could. She, Sam, and Ben finally came to a halt in another clearing, breathless and on high alert. "Haley!" Ben yelled, his voice filled with desperation as he called out for his sister.

"Dean!" Sam called out, his breathing ragged and his heart pounding.

Evan's eyes caught sight of something glinting on the ground. "The fucker took them," she muttered darkly, leaning down to grip the broken glass bottle.

"If it keeps its victims alive, why would it kill Roy?" Ben questioned, his voice filled with confusion and curiosity as he, Evan, and Sam walked through the dense forest.

"Honestly, I think because Roy shot at it," Sam answered, her tone serious. "Pissed it off."

The three continued walking in silence, the weight of the situation hanging over them, before Ben noticed something unusual on the ground. His eyes widened as he bent down to get a closer look. "They went this way!" Ben called out excitedly to Evan and Sam from his place crouching on the ground, pointing at the trail.

Evan and Ben quickly made their way over to Ben, curiosity piqued. Sam grabbed the small candy from Ben's fingers, holding it up to the light. "God damn M&Ms," Evan chuckled in amazement as she stared at the colorful candy, shaking her head in disbelief.

"Careful, E," Sam warned as he watched Evan navigate down the steep hill, his voice filled with concern.

"I'm fine, nerd," Evan chuckled, her laughter echoing slightly as she reached the bottom. She glanced back to see Sam and Ben descending carefully, their expressions a mix of worry and determination.
