12. Revelations

"So" Gemini said, the moment they both sat in the comfortable interior of Gemini's car.

Fourth looked over at him, eyes twinkling with warmth and happiness. They just kissed. Multiple times, Fourth's brain added helpfully. And Gemini had just confessed to him.

To him! Gemini confessed to him!

He had to pinch him to assure himself that he wasn't dreaming because who on earth has successfully managed to date their crush of three years? Definitely not him. He didn't believe in these kinds of fairytales. But Gemini was next to him, slightly swollen lips (for which he was the reason!) curled up in a smile.

So perhaps fairytales do come true.

"You're going back to that place where I don't have access to again"

"Huh?"

Gemini leaned over—so so close, that Fourth was temporarily cross-eyed, "What are you thinking about?"

"Definitely not about you"

"Really?"

Did he actually say it out loud? Oh shit.

"N-No... I-I mean..." Fourth balked, fingers wringing with each other, as he tried his best to avoid eye contact.

How was he going to get out of this now?

"You're grinning" Gemini observed, and Fourth leveled a gaze at him.

"So are you"

"Well" Gemini leaned back in the driving seat, one hand pressed on the steering wheel and the other pulling his seatbelt across his torso, "Isn't it obvious why?"

Fourth giggled. He actually giggled. Gemini turned to look over at him in surprise but Fourth didn't care. They kissed. That's all that matters. When Gemini dropped him off at his dorm, Fourth's hand hovered over the car door handle. Gemini was staring outside, fingers drumming rhythmically on the steering wheel.

"Fourth?" he suddenly asked, halting Fourth's steps.

Fourth blinked at him, "Yeah?"

"I couldn't ask you" Gemini turned to him, as he looked down—was he shy? "How did you feel?"

Fourth blinked again.

Was he asking about the kiss...?

"Feel?" he asked, just to make sure, "About what?"

Gemini bit the insides of his cheeks as he started tugging at a lose thread on his shirt, absentmindedly, "Yeah... uh, about the... uh... song?"

Song?

Oh. OH.

"It was beautiful" Fourth replied truthfully, with a smile, "The lyrics were so lovely. Are you going to drop it in Spotify any soon?"

"Hey, don't joke" Gemini gave him a deadpanned look.

"I'm not!" Fourth raised his arms in defense, "It was actually beautiful. I wanna listen to it again"

Gemini nodded as his smile slipped back onto his lips, "I'll record it and send it to you"

"You would do that to me?!" Fourth almost yelled.

Gemini was staring at him as if he was crazy. Fourth's hand was pressed hard on the door handle now—he couldn't just believe the jackpot he just came across. Not only did he kiss the love of his life for the first time, got a kind of confession from him but he also gets to listen to a song that hasn't even been released from the original singer's voice? How was he so lucky?
