RING! RING! RING! I'm woken up by my phone ringing. Shit 8 am.
"Ciao Zia"
"Amore you sound like you have just woken up."
"I have Zia, had a big week."
"Well I trust you will be at school in 25 minutes when you are supposed to be Abs."
"Yes Carina, I will be but I'm sure you have meetings to get to, so i'll let you go."
"I'm on my way to one right now. Have a good day Abbie, I love you"
"Love you too Zia"
I jumped out of bed and chucked on my uniform and ran out the room.
"Abbie?" I spin around to see my dad's assistant, Gabi.
"Hey Gabi!"
"Your dad thought you left ages ago, you should be at school by now!"
"I know rough morning."
"Get to school Abs, don't give your dad a reason to be disappointed in you."
"Won't give him anymore than he's already got!" I replied as I ran out the door and through the front gate.
As I walk into school I can feel the tension in the air. I wondered what happened as I walked towards Halle.
"Your nothing Halle! You and your daddy issues can just get off the face of this earth!" I hear Sorcha yelling. Fuck I don't have the energy do deal with her being a bitch today.
"Why don't you just shut the fuck up and go find somewhere else to project your insecurities." I yelled at Sorcha, a crowd had started to gather now.
"Oh my god, I feel so intimidated. The PM's daughters here." She replied sarcastically laughing with her friends. That was my go ahead. I strong right hook to her nose. She fell back and started screaming.
"Abigail Albanese" I hear my name being called. Perfect, just what I needed.
"My office. Right. Now." Fuck it's my principal, Mrs Lawrence. I rolled my eyes and turned to follow her.
Anthony's POV
I was just about to finish up lunch with Richard before going back to my office to prepare for my meeting with the NSW Premier later this afternoon when Gabi came in.
"Sir, sorry to interrupt but there's a phone call from Abbie's school and it seems important."
"Thank you Gabi, I will be right there. Sorry Richard, nice to chat to you." I said as I walked towards where Gabi was standing with my phone.
"Hello, Anthony Albanese."
"Hi Anthony it's Lillian Lawrence here calling from Abbie's school. How are you today?"
"Well thank you."
"There had been an altercation with Abigail and another student today in which Abigail punched another student. We were wondering if you would be able to come in to talk about it?"
"Yes of course I will be there right away."
Abbie's POV
Fuck I really stuffed up this time. I knew I shouldn't of done it but when Sorcha starts making fun of Halle I can't just stand there and watch. She walks around like she is top shit just because her dad has money and power but you know what so does mine and I don't feel the need to make fun of people. I see black cars pull up outside and I know what that means. Dad. Oh god this just got so much worse. When Dad walks in I can feel the anger coming from him."Please have a seat Mr Albanese." Mrs Lawrence says.
"So we have asked you here today to speak about Abigail's behaviour, from what I have seen today I think it is unacceptable but Abigail do you have anything to say for yourself?"
"No" I replied, I having nothing to defend without having to go into details and a long talk with dad.
"Abigail why did you do it?" My dad questioned.
"She was making me mad" My dad looked pissed and Mrs Lawrence did not look impressed.
"Due to this not being Abigail's first offence I think a 3 day suspension is appropriate." Mrs Lawrence said.
"I think that is absolutely fair, thank you Mrs Lawrence." My dad said standing up shaking her hand.
"Thank you Mr Albanese." She said as we walked out.
...
"Get in the car" My dad said as he walked round to the other side. Fuck. I was in for it.
"I just don't whats gotten into you recently Abigail. I'm so disappointed in you mi amore."
"Yeah I know Dad, you have made that perfectly clear." I replied putting my headphones in. I was not in the mood to get the third degree. I assumed we would just head home, I would get grounded, stay in my room all day and not talk to anyone etc but when I looked up we were driving into Parliament House.
"What are we doing here Anthony?" I say pissed off.
"I have a 1.30 meeting so you get to hang out in my office."
"Can't you just drop me home"
"I don't trust you on your own"
"Ughhh fine" I say storming out of the car and towards the entrance.
Walking into his office I'm greeted by Gabi.
"Hey Abbie! Why aren't you at school?" She asked checking her watch. Dad came up behind me and said:
"She's with me, someone has gotten themselves suspended... again."
"I'm sure I can make her useful" Gabi replied.
"I've got to get off to this meeting, Abbie be good and don't go anywhere."
"Yeah, yeah whatever" I replied picking up my phone.
"I'll see you later Abbie" Gabi said following my dad out of the office.
