Dinner with the politicians was anything but interesting. I walked around and mingled just as I knew my parents wanted me to then I just sort of stood in the corner and let no one take notice of me. I was standing there daydreaming talking to this boring fella who only wanted to talk about government policies which I had no interest in at this moment. Don't get me wrong I am usually very interested in what is happening in the country but talking about housing wasn't what I thought I would be doing on this Tuesday night. But from across the room I spotted this dashing fella that looked about 16 and he eyed me too. He strolled over and said,
"Sorry Mr Bant, would you mind if I stole Abbie for a minute" and shot him a charming smile.
"Yes of course Jason, nice talking to you Abigail."
"You too Mr Bant, see you next time!" I replied a little too enthusiastically as Jason swept me away into another part of the room.
"You were looking really bored there"
"Oh my god he can't stop talking"
"About housing? Yes! I have gotten stuck talking to him at too many of these things."
"Hahha, Abbie Albanese" I held out my hand
"Jason Marles, nice to meet you." He replied taking my hand in his.
" How have we not met yet!" I said shocked that I had not seen this beautiful guy yet.
"I was just thinking the same thing!"
Anyways I hung out with Jason the rest of the night which I think got me in Dad's good books because he gave me a nod of approval when he saw us together. Having a friend might make these things slightly less boring - who knows what we could get up to together!
