My first few days at Carina's house were normal. We talked, ate, and cooked. She talked about her rules, there are so many rules. She told me I wasn't going to make the same mistakes I made before - whatever. Anyways school started today and oh my god I hate it there. I made some new friends Ciara, Annie, Aimee and Steph. They're nice and made today more bearable. Anyway after period 6 I said goodbye to my new friends and headed to my locker I packed up my shit and headed towards Carina's office. We decided not to tell anyone I live with the principal - it would cause too many problems for me so I made sure the hallway was clear before heading towards reception and knocking on her office door.
"Ciao amore," She said as I walked into the office.
"Ciao Zia, what are you doing?" I replied. She was standing behind her desk moving papers around.
"Lots of paperwork, you know how it is. Give me fifteen more minutes and then we can head home."
"Ok," I replied flopping down on the couch and scrolling on my phone. My phone dinged and I clicked on the notification. Ciara had added me to a group chat on snap. Hey guys! She typed. Annie typed back and said, want to come to my house tonight? my parents are out and we will have the whole house to ourselves. yes! Everyone replied. Shit I needed to work out a way out of Carina's house.
...
15 minutes turned into 40 which turned into an hour and by the time we actually got home it was 5.30. I went into my room and changed out of my uniform and into something more comfy. My phone rung and my mum's name came up on the screen. I pressed ignore rolling my eyes. I didn't have the energy to talk to her today. I went out into the kitchen to see Carina making dinner. I walked over to her and she pulled my hair back while I started to need the dough of the gnocchi we were having for dinner.
...
I checked my phone, 8.30 time to put my plan into action. I stood up from the couch yawning.
"I think I might have a shower and head to bed" I told Carina starting to walk towards my room.
"Goodnight Abs."
"Night Carina."
...
I showered and did my makeup and then put on some jeans and a small corset top. I slid out my window and out through the back garden gate to where Ciara's older brother Shea had parked. I jumped in the car and greeted Aimee who was sitting in the backseat and Ciara who was sitting in the front. We drove to pick up Steph and then we went to Annie's.
We were sitting in Annie's living room talking and chilling when I got a text from my dad. We need to talk. It read.
"Shit" I whispered to myself while rolling my eyes and putting my phone down.
"What's up?" Steph asked me.
"Just my dad being annoying - it's nothing" I added.
"It must suck living away from your parents." Aimee said
"Ehhh I prefer it this way to be honest."
....
At about 11 we said goodbye and went outside to Shea's car who was waiting for us. He dropped us all home and I went back in the house the way I came out. I went straight to my walk in wardrobe and put on my pyjamas and got cosy in bed.
