EVERYTHING WITHIN THE reach of her peripherals is wonderful. Just wow...Jewel feels like she's actually in Japan right now and experiencing the authentic view of the Japanese night market. Well, she hasn't experienced a real Japanese festival, but she could certainly feel that she is in one.
Stalls of various foods and snacks stood side by side on the left side of the entrance while another line of stalls selling activities and souvenirs across the food stalls by the right side of the entrance.
The entrance of the venue was set to directly connect to the wide road that divides the two set of stalls. The road was crowded by people wearing kimonos and yukatas like them, of various colors. She guessed that wearing them must be really a part of requirement to enter.
Phoenix soon caught up to her as she waited for him by the main entrance. The dark blue yukata does really suits him. She thought he looked handsome in it. And her baby looked so incredibly adorable in his green yukata.
Jewel chuckled when she remembered how he described her earlier, 'epic'... She decided to keep that in mind...
"You're not sore are you?" She asked him. He was carrying Nix since earlier so he thought that his arms might be tired already.
"Hm...Sore from what?"
"Your arms." She pointed out. "You've been carrying Nix since around after lunch. Do you want to switch? I don't mind carrying him."
They started walking along the road and began sight-seeing the different stalls. She could see Nix's eyes sparkle at every stall they pass by.
Phoenix shook his head slightly. "I'm fine. And Nix is really not that heavy. He's actually very light. I think I can probably carry him all night." He said, half-boasting.
"Okay then." She said. "I wanna try everything. But I don't think one night would be enough to enjoy all of these."
"Then I'll ask grandpa to hold another one. That's easy."
"Uhh...No thanks. I don't want to bother Grandpa. He's already busy as it is."
"I don't think that he would really mind of it's you who requested it."
She sighed. "That's the problem. He wouldn't mind and he will do it if I or you requested it to him. He will gladly do it without any hesitations. So let's refrain from requesting anything from him."
"I get your point. So...where do you want to start?"
"Hmm...probably somewhere where Nix could enjoy himself." She tried to search for a stall with kids in them.
"How about that one." She pointed to the stall where children are crowding over something.
"Oh...it's Yoyo Tsuri!" She exclaimed in excitement. "This looks exciting."
"Nix do you---." Before she could finish her question, Nix was already squirming himself from Phoenix's arms to get down.
Nix had sparkles in his eyes as he crouched over the mini pool with painted balloon floating on the water. Two kids have paper strings in their hands with a hook at the end trying to attach one of the balls.
She couldn't help but laugh as Nix pointed to the balloons with keenness. It seems like he really wanted to try the game.
One of the kids hooked the balloon carefully and successfully lifted it out of the pool. It's uncanny that the only prize they get was a small water balloon after all of their efforts, but the smiles on their faces showed that they don't care about how much effort they gave just to get the water-balloon...it was enough for them to see that they have succeeded to get the thing that they wanted.
