Jane stood in the bathroom, frozen in disbelief, tears streaming down her cheeks. She double-checked the test, hoping for a different result, but the reality remained unchanged - she was pregnant.
She sank onto her bed, engulfed in uncertainty and fear. Young and overwhelmed, she grappled with the harsh reality that the father of her child was unfaithful.
"It's a mistake. It's a big mistake!" She cried aloud, tears flowing holding her belly not knowing what to do. She went to her kitchen and took some water to calm down.
She drew in a deep breath, her voice trembling with resolve.
"I can't do this. I can't go through with this pregnancy, I'm not having this baby" she uttered, her words echoing in the room. As the cup slipped from her grasp, time seemed to slow down, mirroring the shattered pieces falling to the floor, each shard a reflection of her breaking heart, fracturing into a million pieces, just like her spirit crumbling day by day.
She hurried to grab her phone, the weight of her decision heavy on her heart. With trembling fingers, she searched about abortion, each click a step closer to a choice she never imagined making. After a lot of thoughts, she resolved to undergo the procedure by surgery, a decision laden with sorrow and the desperate wish to erase the pain. The phone call to the clinic felt like sealing her fate, a somber acceptance of a path she never thought she'd have to walk.
She sat in her car, the engine humming a melancholic tune as she drove towards the clinic, clutching onto a glimmer of hope amidst the storm of emotions raging within her. The echoes of optimism whispered in her mind, reminding her of the cycle of seasons and the promise of brighter days after the darkest nights. Yet, as she journeyed on, the bitter truth of her reality sank in deeper than the winter chill, and the night stretched on relentlessly, devoid of the dawn she so desperately sought. Each passing mile marked not just a physical distance but a profound emotional journey into the depths of her sorrow, where the cold of her winter and the endless darkness of her night enveloped her in a suffocating embrace.

"Hello Doctor. I scheduled an appointment about an hour ago for an abortion," Jane stated as she entered the clinic.
The doctor welcomed her with a warm smile, "Please, have a seat."
"Before we proceed, Jane, I need to understand your reasons for the abortion. How old are you?" the doctor inquired, her eyes reflecting concern.
"I'm almost 23, and I've made this decision because the father of the child cheated on me. I feel unprepared for this unexpected situation. I have my education to focus on, and I'm just not ready for motherhood," Jane explained, trying to articulate her emotions and come up with as much reasons as she can.
"Does the father have any knowledge of the pregnancy?" the doctor asked.
"No, he's completely unaware of the baby. He was preoccupied with other women," Jane replied, a hint of sadness in her voice as she fought back tears.
"Jane, I can see that you are mature enough to make this decision. Please proceed to the changing room. I will provide you with a small pill, that helps you not feel pain, to take before the procedure to remove the fetus," the doctor reassured her, guiding her towards the next steps in a compassionate manner.

"Stop! Stop, I can't do this," Jane exclaimed, tears streaming down her face.
"I can't bear to do this to my baby!" she cried out, clutching her belly in anguish.
"Jane, I understand how difficult this is for you. Take a moment, step outside, and gather your thoughts. This decision is significant, there's no going back once it's done. When you feel ready, return to me," the doctor comforted Jane, offering her support during this emotional moment.
Jane nodded, her eyes still filled with tears, and made her way to the clinic's garden. Sitting on a bench, she gazed up at the sky, taking deep breaths to calm herself, letting her emotions flow freely with each tear shed.
Suddenly a big black car screeched to a halt in front of her, two imposing men swiftly approached. Jane's heart raced as one of the men sinisterly placed a cloth over her mouth, causing her to gasp for air. She fought desperately, tears streaming down her face, kicking her legs in the air in a frantic attempt to break free. Despite her valiant efforts, the world around her started to blur, and a wave of dizziness washed over her. Overwhelmed by the effects of the cloth, Jane's cries echoed in the air as she collapsed, her strength waning. The men, with cold determination, seized her limp form and swiftly carried her into the waiting car, leaving behind a chilling silence that hung in the air, signaling a dark and uncertain turn in Jane's fate.
