"The three of us?" Jane said as she heard the door from behind, opening.

And as she saw Matheo, she ran into his arms and intertwined their lips in a kiss that flew all their sadness away.

"I love you! I'm so sorry." Jane said as she cried while hugging him.

"The three of us?" Jane exclaimed, her voice trembling with a mix of shock and relief, as the door creaked open behind her.

In a heartbeat, Matheo stepped into the room, his presence commanding attention. Jane's eyes widened with a whirlwind of emotions as she dashed towards him, her heart pounding with a fierce longing. She ran into his arms and intertwined their lips in a kiss that flew all their sadness away.

"I love you! I'm so sorry," Jane's words spilled out in a rush, tears streaming down her cheeks like a river of emotions, as she held Matheo tightly, as if afraid he might slip away.

"Shh, it's alright. I love you too." He said as he patted her back, while hugging her.

"There's something I wanted to do, that Saturday, but I couldn't. So let me do it right now."

Matheo's voice quivered with emotion as he gracefully lowered himself to one knee, a glint of unwavering love in his eyes.

Jane's hands flew to cover her mouth, her eyes wide with a mixture of astonishment and joy.

"You know I'd rather live one lifetime with you, than face all the ages of this world alone. You are my today, my tomorrow, and all the tomorrows to come. Your presence is my solace, your laughter my melody. Every sunrise, every sunset, I want to share with you. I want you to be the one I wake up next to every morning. And I want your eyes to be the first thing I see, when I open mine. Will you do me the honor of being my partner in all the adventures life has in store? Will you marry me, and together, paint our love story across eternity hand in hand, and heart in heart?"

"Of course I would!" Through tearful yet elated eyes, Jane's heart overflowed with emotion as she extended her hand towards him. With utmost care and affection, he placed a stunning ring on her finger, a timeless emblem of the infinite love they pledged to nurture forever.

Matheo tenderly cradled Jane's belly with both hands, with tenderness in his eyes. "How did you know?" Jane inquired softly, her gaze searching his face for answers.

"Chloe told me everything," Matheo revealed, lowering himself to press a gentle kiss on her belly, a gesture filled with warmth and affection.

"Is it three weeks old, or older?" Matheo's voice held a hint of anticipation as he awaited her response.

"Three weeks," Jane replied, a radiant smile gracing her features, a sense of shared joy enveloping them.

"In the future, promise me to confront me directly, unleash your anger upon me if needed, but never hide behind silence. And never entertain the thought of erasing the symbol of our love," Matheo's words held a mix of firmness and love, a plea for openness and honesty.

"I'm sorry," Jane's voice carried regret and understanding, a willingness to mend and move forward.

"I love you," Matheo's confession filled the room with sincerity as he showered Jane with kisses on every inch of her face, a display of affection and devotion that spoke volumes.

"Stop! Stop!" Jane said while laughing as she tried to push him away.

As Matheo gently reached for Jane's hand, a soft smile played on his lips. Their eyes met, filled with unspoken emotions. Slowly, he leaned in, his breath mingling with hers, creating a moment of anticipation. Their lips met in a tender kiss, a silent exchange of feelings that spoke volumes. Time seemed to stand still as they lost themselves in the warmth of the embrace, a simple yet powerful connection between them.
