-The Promise Of Eternity-

And as the minutes turned into hours, and the hours into days...
Here comes Friday.

"You have two hours to submit the test. I don't have to remind you of the rules, do I? No cheating, or you'll get a big fat 0. Good luck!" The teacher said as she sat on her desk, while all the students started their test.

Jane took her pen, and started focusing on the questions. She hoped to get a good mark, so she wouldn't deceive Matheo's expectations. After all, he spent all the weekend practicing with her. So failing again won't be the best news she will ever tell him.

Jane took her sheet, and got up, ready to give it to the teacher.

As she handed it to her,
"How was your test miss Jane? Will you pass this time?" The teacher asked her, taking a look at her answers.

"I hope so." She simply said with a small smile as she made her way out of the class.

As Jane stepped into the bustling hallway, she couldn't contain her excitement and quickly reached for her phone to text Matheo.

"It was super easy!" she eagerly started the conversation.

Matheo responded with an air of certainty, "Of course it was! It had to be. You've put in so much effort and studied for it." His words brought smile to Jane's face, filling her with  pride.

"Where are you?" She asked as students started to get out of the class.

"I had to go home to get some books, I'll be back soon."

And as Jane was about to reply, Sara jumped on her from the back.

"I did it! I did so well!" She said jumping like a kid getting his ice cream from his mom.

And as everyone came they went to the cafeteria.

Matheo looked at the men that were getting everything ready. He retrieved a small box from his pocket, carefully opening it to reveal a breathtaking diamond ring. Its brilliance sparkled in the light.

After nearly three years of shared memories and countless cherished moments, Matheo had  planned this proposal. He envisioned a future where they would walk hand in hand, supporting and uplifting each other through life's joys and challenges.

In his heart, he knew that she was the one he wanted to wake up to each morning, her radiant smile brightening his day. He longed for her to be the last person he saw before drifting into peaceful slumber, knowing that she was his forever.

He envisioned a lifetime of love, laughter, and growth, with her by his side as his beloved wife. Their destinies intertwined, their souls forever connected in a beautiful tapestry of love and companionship.

After making sure that everything was going to be perfect, he drove back to the university.

As he got there a student came to him.

"Hey, I don't know if you know me. I'm Alex. Just wanted to fill you in on something I noticed earlier. I saw John in the bathroom, crying and not in his best conditions. I figured you should be aware of what's going on with him," Oliver mentioned, as he patted his shoulder, before continuing on his way.

Matheo stood dumbfounded, his mind racing with confusion. John wasn't the kind of shedding tears in public places, especially in front of anyone. It seemed unfathomable. Matheo pondered, knowing John's stoic nature and the depth of their bond. If John harbored any sorrow, he would be the first to know.

Without wasting any more time he took his way to the bathroom.

But as he opened the door, soft lips pressed against his, a fiery kiss that left him breathless, pressing him firmly against the door.

Startled, he pushed the person away, still processing what just happened. He looked at this person, with a hundred question in his head.

Matheo: What the fuck did you just do?

He stared at her, utterly perplexed. Anyone else, he could have anticipated, but not her. Not one of the dearest friends of the reason behind his every smile. Of all people, she caught him off guard in a moment he never saw coming. His mind raced, trying to make sense of the unexpected encounter with someone so familiar yet completely out of place in that bewildering situation.
