Jane took her gun from her heel, and pointed it in front of her.

"Stop!"

She heard as she shot in the air.

"Angelina!" she cried out, rushing to embrace her friend. Tears welled in Jane's eyes as she took in Angelina's state, a mix of relief and worry flooding her heart.

But amidst the emotional reunion, the harsh reality of the ongoing gunfire persisted, a grim reminder of the danger surrounding them.

"Is John safe? I saw him here." Jane's voice trembled with concern as they sought refuge behind a sturdy wall. "I pray he and Matheo are unharmed in this relentless storm of violence!"

"Get out without saying a word." Angelina and Jane heard a voice behind them.

Silence enveloped the room as Angelina and Jane registered the chilling command from behind.

Jad's gun aimed at Angelina mirrored Jane's unwavering focus on him, a dangerous dance of wills in the stillness of the moment.

The sudden appearance of Matheo and John added layers of tension as they ascended the stairs, their arrival intensifying the already fraught atmosphere.

"Leave her." Jane's voice cut through the tense silence, her gaze unwavering as she faced Jad, her own gun steady in her grasp.

"Jane!" Matheo's urgent tone drew her attention, the weight of the situation pressing down on them like a suffocating shroud.

In a heartbeat, Crook materialized, his presence casting a shadow of dread over the already fraught scene. "Don't move," his voice cold and commanding as he closed in on Jane, the gun in his hand a lethal threat.

As the standoff unfolded, John and Matheo swiftly took their positions, guns aimed at Crook, a dangerous tableau of conflicting intentions.

Jad's calm demeanor belied the gravity of the situation as he spoke, his words hanging heavy in the charged air, "If one of us pulls the trigger, we seal our fates in death's embrace." The delicate balance of power teetered on a knife's edge, every heartbeat a potential catalyst for irreversible consequences.

"Dear Matheo, here we are, me pointing a gun at the dearest thing in your life, and you pointing a gun at the one who gave you life."

"Let's all put our guns down," John's voice cut through the tension, his gaze fixed on Angelina.

As they each began to lower their weapons, a sudden gunshot shattered the fragile peace, igniting a flurry of gunfire that filled the room with deafening echoes.

The trigger clicked, Jad aimed at Jane, but she was swiftly pulled away.
She found herself engulfed in darkness, her world reduced to tears and silent prayers for a glimmer of hope in the midst of the relentless storm.

And then, once again, silence. But this silence was louder than any gun.

She looked at the scene only to find Crook, shot in the head.

Her gun slipped from her hands. She went to check on him and yes he was dead.

Her eyes scanned the space before her, landing on Crook, his lifeless form a stark contrast to the chaos that engulfed them. With a trembling hand, her grip faltered, the gun slipping from her fingers, a silent testament to the irreversible turn of events.

Driven by a mix of dread and duty, she approached him, her heart heavy with the weight of his demise. As she confirmed the grim truth, a wave of finality washed over her – Crook's chapter closed.

In a sudden twist of fate, she felt a force pulling her into a room, her initial panic giving way to relief as she recognized Sara's familiar face in the dim light.

"You're here too!" she exclaimed, embracing Sara, the weight of the recent events heavy on both of them.

Sara's confession startled her, the revelation of her involvement in Crook's demise sending a shiver down her spine. "Shh... It's okay," Jane reassured her, offering comfort in the midst of turmoil.

The room was filled with tension as John brought Matheo in, Angelina's warning slicing through the air. Jane's heart skipped a beat as she beheld Matheo, shot in the hip.
