Arias POV:
Entering the hall I immediately notice Ava flirting with two Herrington boys shuffled off to the side of the building.
Rolling my eyes I rush to my friends side "Sorry boys have to steal your girl for a moment" I shoot them both an Annoyed look as I drag Ava away
"Hey what was that for?" Ava seems mad for about a second before she begins to laugh.
"Come on we're both in the front." I lead the two of us down the middle of the hall laughing as we both watch the guys stare at us as we walk by. Typical.
When we make it to our isle I immediately notice my temporary roommate sitting in the first few seats talking to. Oh my god, Valarie and Alex.
Val and Alex were My best friends last year. I don't even want to think about what happened between the three of us.
How do they know jaime?
After me and Ava take our seats I can't help but glance over at the three girls with a thousand questions going through my head.
"Why are you staring at Valarie, Alex and that blonde girl?" Ava taps my shoulder looking at me confusingly.
"Oh the blonde girls jaime." I cringe.
"oh ew, but still why are you staring at them?" She laughs.
"Just confused on how they know each other." Brushing off her obviously wanting a more extensive answer than that.
Ava's my only friend that knows what happened between me and Valarie last year, and Ava loving drama has never let the situation go.
"Are you jealous?" She says making fun of me obviously trying to get a reaction.
"Shut up." I love her but she pisses me off sometimes "No and for the last time, She kissed me"
Last year at a halloween party Valarie kissed me, I cut them off afterwards because I'm not going to be friends with people like that. When I told Ava about it she assumed I was like Valerie, which i'm clearly not.
It got messy when I ended up arguing with Valerie about it. we stopped talking, and split off. Like I said messy.
Jaime's POV:
As the principal made his way on stage I notice in the corner of my eye a blonde & brunette duo glancing over at me, Valerie and Alex.
Alex notices me noticing them and whispers "That's Aria Hermes the blonde one, we used to be friends with her last year"
She gets cut off as the Principal starts to talk into the mic "Welcome all new and returning Sterling and Herrington prep students to a new and improved school year, This year we are set on improving our study focuses on all subjects throughout the two semesters!".
As Sterlings principal lists the schools subjects I can't help but think about how These two girls were friends with with my roommate from hell. How can such nice girls be friends with someone like her?
"Wrapping that up we have been able to get enough funding to open up a basketball team for our Sterling students! tryouts will be this Thursday and we will be using the Herrington's gymnasium."
Funnily enough I've wanted to get back into basketball.
"But moving on, I'm going to call the reoccurring and new scholarship students for this year to present them with their physical certificates!"
My stomach drops, no one told me i'd be presented with a certificate in front of the whole school let alone our brotherhood school.
Arias POV:
My eyes almost roll out of my head as the principal goes on about scholarships.
"...Now for the science and humanity scholarships.."
I look over at Ava and we both cringe.
"This student was awarded a scholarship for her extensive work in cellular biology and renowned study in biochemistry, averaging a 4.3 gpa in just one semester last year. Jaime Williams!"
There's no way, my annoying roommate is that smart.
Watching her make her way onto the stage and collect her certificate, I can't help but be angry and confused. I can't tell you why, maybe jealousy?
