Why Her?

Part 11: English

Jaime's POV:

The tension in the air is palpable; she's not even attempting to conceal her anger. Every time she glances my way, it's like I'm being personally attacked. I have no idea what's wrong with her, she's furious with me over something I have no control over.

It's been almost an hour and a half since the class started, and the tension is just depressing. I've never had someone hate me so passionately. I've always thought I'd never care but her being around me constantly makes it hard not to.

Without even thinking I take my foot and kick the side of her chair.

This takes her by surprise and she flinches. This is the first time she makes eye contact with me

"what the fuck was that for?" She says sharply under her breath. She's so angry it's almost amusing.

"Why are you always trying to ruin my life?" She blurted out just as I was about to respond.

I laughed, gaining the teacher's attention. She looked over at us and told the both of us to be quiet and go back to our work.

After a few minutes I look back over at Aria, she's doing none of her work and is paying completely no attention to anyone but herself in her laptops camera.

"How am I ruining your life? I have no idea who you are besides that you're a massive bitch"

She doesn't even look at me, she just rolls her eyes and sighs.

Aria's POV:

Seriously why am I wasting my breath on her? She shouldn't even be talking to me let alone sharing a desk with me.

And how hasn't she ruined my life? She's basically the reason me and Ava aren't rooming, she's getting Dante on the hate Aria train and worst of all she cannot leave me alone.

After her kicking my chair and laughing at my reasonable question I've given up on even discussing this with her.

Around 19 minutes later the class was done and I could finally leave. Jaime almost got up quicker than I did when the teacher said we could leave.

Watching her walk out of my class, made me even more mad. As much as I wish this anger was explainable it wasn't.

We have a 15 minute break before period 3 and 4. During that time I just went by my locker and talked to Ava and a few of our other friends (Lisa, Sam and Tracy). Then I had Art and Geography until it was finally lunch time. And then after math it was the end of the day.

Ava and I usually go to the library with Tracy to study after school, but seeming we aren't in the same classes (It also being the first day and having no assignments) we decided to walk down to the local cafe and talk.

Our usual subjects being boys and the upcoming weekend parties. Lee, Tracy's boyfriend's parents own an estate in town.

It being a 15 minute bus ride from school Lee managed to get his parents to allow him to host these "social events".  Aka our parties, and he throws a big one every first week of the school year.

By the time we made it into the cafe and ordered our ice teas and coffee, Ava was already moaning and groaning about her math teacher.

"Seriously what is the point of algebra, I'm never going to use it." I giggle. Soon enough we're all laughing.

I want to complain about Jaime but honestly i've thought about her enough for one day.

schools been driving me insane and a lot has happened since my last upload.
