Chapter 16 - Avery

I hugs Stasia. "Congratulations!! I'm going to miss you, Stasia."

She hugs me hard. "Me too, Avery! Keep contact, okay?" She wipes her tears and fixes her head. Today is their graduation ceremony.

I smile and nod.

"That's Brad!" She says.

I inhale deeply. This is going to be my first time to meet Bradley's parents. I'm nervous as hell!!!

"Let's go, don't worry. All be fine," Stasia whispers, sensing my worries.

I nod. We go to Bradley with Stasia's parents who eventually know Bradley's parents.

Brad grins at me. "You look sexy," he mouths mutely.

My eyes widen. I check his family, they are talking to Stasia's.

"Congrats, Stasia!" Chase comes and hugs Stasia, he comes back for his brother and sister's graduation, but Belle is absent from her own graduation. She just gone without telling us why. Dad also asked me why she skipped the graduation, but I don't know too. I chat her to make sure she is okay, she just replied me once with "I'm fine, Avery."

Brad pulls me and hugs me. "You haven't congratulate me properly, girlfriend," he whispers to my ear.

I chuckle and hug him tightly. "Congratulations, Brad! I'm so proud of you!!" I give him a bouquet flower I bought earlier for him.

"Thank you, babe. Can't wait for you to give me the real reward," he winks and I know he is thinking dirty.

I feel my face hot, I push him lightly. "You crazy!"

He laughs.

Someone clears her throat behind us. I turn around and find Mrs. Fox, Bradley's mom, is watching us.

"Ave, this is my mom. Mom, this is Avery, my girlfriend. I told you about her," Brad handles the introduction with his easy grin.

I smile and give my hand for a handshake. My heartbeat thumps inside me. "Hello Mrs. Fox. We met before."

She looks ne for a while and shakes my hand. "Hi Avery," she smiles, it's a polite smile, not a warm one. But at least she doesn't ignore me.

"You want me to help you taking family picture?" I ask Brad.

"Then you will be in the picture as well," he whispers teasingly.

"Stop teasing me or I'm going to cut your face in the photo," I warn him and he laughs.

"Mom, Dad let's have a family picture. Avery will take it for us."

His dad looks at me, another assessing look. I just smile and nod. "Morning Mr. Fox." I saw him one time when he had a board meeting at school with my dad.

"Good morning, Avery," he smiles. "Thank you for helping."

I shake my head and smile back. I take some picture for them. Hopefully they like the result. I want to ask about Belle, but I feel better to ask Bradley when he is alone.

I see Mr. and Mrs. Banks at the other side. "Brad, I'm going to Mr. and Mrs. Banks for a while."

He nods. "You'll be okay?"

I nod. "Yeah. Don't worry." I nod to Bradley's parents before I go.

Natasha is taking a picture with Noah when I come to them. Noah runs to hug me. "Avery!"

I smile at Noah. "Hi, superboy!" I look up at Natasha. "Congrats, Nat," I smile a bit.

She just nods and turns to her friends.
