I thought everything would be smooth once Avery and I settled down. I was planning for her to move in with me, but apparently that won't happen. Principal Carter wanted Avery to go back to school until we couldn't hide the pregnancy. And Avery will continue online so she still can graduate from high school. It means, Avery couldn't go to my apartment near Yale.
And my mom declared Avery has to stay in Fox family since she will be one of us soon. Once Avery turns 18 we will get married. Avery wasn't sure with the idea of living with my mom, but Mom has her ways to talk with everyone. I wanted to help Avery, but again, we two just kids in front of their eyes. Not to mention, we did irresponsible things according to them.
It's been 3 months since I started in Yale and Avery in my house. The baby bump is small, she still can cover it, but Mom said in a month or two it's possible for her to do so. One thing I like from having Avery in my house is I know Mom will give the best nutritious food for Avery, hopefully they can bond well too. I know Mom still guarded with Avery.
I arrive at home on Friday, I always try to either take Avery to my apartment for the weekend or come back home for her for the weekend. This week I'm back home because tomorrow we have a family event.
Last week Aunt Belinda decided to stay in my parents' house because she has problems with her husband. To be honest, I don't care with her marriage life. She married a scumbag, she should have know what's waiting for her in the future. But to stay in my parents' house with Avery in it, I don't like it. Dad actually let them to use the Fox family house, but Aunt Belinda refused. Why? I have no idea. She preferred to stay in his brother's house. Grandma Margarethe agreed, so Dad let them stay.
Belinda and Florence always talk bad about Avery. When the news about Avery's pregnancy soread to the family, Aunt Belinda and Florence kept saying Avery trapped me. I almost put mouse's trap in Florence's mouth. And ever since, they keep talking about trap marriage and all shit stuff about it.
Avery never say anything about it, she tried to appear unaffected with the topic, but it takes stupid person to not know that she stressed out with that shit. And now, with them live in the same roof with Avery, I doubt they will make pleasant guest in my parents' house.

I close my room's door slowly, Avery is taking a nap. I come closer and look at her. She doesn't look like a pregnant woman, she looks so small and... miserable. I feel like she's not happy with this arrangement, but she has no choice. She never say a word about it, and it's killing me that she has to keep everything to herself. Why you don't tell me, Ave?
I sigh and strip my clothes except for my boxer and lie down behind her. I spoon her and inhale her hair, it smells her shampoo and it feels home. My hand caresses her tummy, where our little girl grows.
Avery moves a bit and leans to me. "Hey," she says softly.
"Hey, go back to sleep. I want to take a nap too. It was a long week."
She nods and puts her hand on top of mine. "We missed you," she says.
"I missed you and our baby too." I kiss her neck and close my eyes. The peaceful fills inside me with Avery and our baby in my arms.
Afternoon comes, we both come down for helping my mom prepare the thanksgiving dinner. This time Helen Hall is joining us. She is my grandma Margarethe's sister in law. She lives in California and usually spent thanksgiving there with her grandson, the heir of The Hall, Ethan Hall, but this year my grandma successfully made her fly to New York because Ethan is not in U.S.A.
"Avery, why don't you sit down?" Mom asks.
"Let me help with the dining table after that I'll sit on the sofa." Avery told me she better not go to the kitchen, her nausea is getting worse lately.
