I'm hungry. Ughh... this is what happened when you barely eat anything for the whole day. I had zero appetite because of my fighting with Bradley.

I sigh. What time is it now? I reach for my phone but it isn't there. Huh? Where is my phone? I turn on the lamp and look for everywhere. But nothing. The phone isn't in my room. I frown. Last time I used it... Rina called me. She asked me about my marriage with Bradley, I thought Bradley told her that I wanted to divorce Bradley, so I explained to her why I chose that decision. But she gasped. She explained that she didn't know anything about it. She saw Bradley wasn't in a good shape, she thought my condition was getting worse. But today she was busy with Chase's girlfriend vs Grandma Margarethe. When she wanted to talk to Brad, he already said his goodbye and flew back to L. A.

"I don't know what to say, Avery. I hope you can think of it again. Bradley loves you, always. Since you two were high school students until now. A lot of things changed, but one thing remain the same... the love between you two. It's so pure and warm. I admitted back then I didn't trust you. I was bad at you, even," she said on the phone.

"It was all in the past, Rina."

"I know but I need to say it. I'm sorry," she said softly. And I could hear she meant it.

I swallowed hard. "It's okay," I whispered.

"I'm sorry, back then I didn't trust you. In my eyes, you and Bradley were kids. I was selfish to think that Bradley should focus on his studies and life. His life without worrying about anything else. I wanted him to life his live to the fullest."

I smiled a bit. "I know what you mean, Rina. Well back then, I didn't know. But now, as a mother myself, I 100% know why you opposed to us back then," I said truthfully.

"But I shouldn't. At least I should gave you my trust. I already made up an impression about you based on what other people said, and it wasn't fair for you."

I frowned. "Who is this other people?"

"Donna. Remember when I met you for the first time in your house? She told me about you, that now I know isn't true." I realized that Rina barely smiled to Donna whenever they met up nowadays. She always talked with Dad only.

"What did she say?"

Rina sighed. "She said you are a needy kid, always mad if you don't get what you want. And some more that I don't bother to remember now. But again, it's on me. Not her. I shouldn't trust outsiders easily."

"It's okay."

"Look, if you and Bradley really want to end this marriage I won't say a word. Whatever it is, I just want you two to be happy. And..." she inhaled deeply. "And I still want you to be my daughter, Avery. I owe you to be a good mother. If I can't be your mother-in-law, at least let me be someone who can be nosy on your health and happiness. You are such a wonderful woman, Avery. With or without Bradley in it."

Was it because she mentioned about my life without Bradley, or because I could hear the mother's love in her voice, my tears couldn't stop. "Thank you, Rina..."

"Thank you for never raise your voice to me and to other family members. I really appreciate that."

I smiled. "I respect you, Rina. Despite of everything that happened between us. I knew you just wanted the best for Bradley. We both want the best for him."

"Then you will reconsider of your decision?" She asks fast as if she's been waiting for it.

"I don't know..." I bit my lower lip, feeling that I disappoint her already by saying I don't know.

"Okay..." she inhaled deeply. "Take care of yourself, Avery."

"You too, Rina." And we ended the phone. I put the phone on my bedside and covered myself with my blanket, crying like a baby.
