Jiyeon was pulled out of her trance as the sound of him clearing his throat, rather a little harshly and awkwardly reached her eardrums. She blinked a couple of times to comprehend what was going on.

"Uh– I'm sorry. I– I don't–" Her tongue got cut short. She has no idea what she was trying to say.

The guy let out a low, audible chuckle. Never knew a chuckle could sound this attractive, Jiyeon thought. Seungcheol does, but this guy is different.

"That's alright," – "Please have a seat." The guy, like a gentleman he appeared to be, pulled out the chair opposite of which he was sitting on and signalled for the lady to take a seat.

Jiyeon slightly bowed her head, as a way of showing respect in her culture, before taking a seat on the chair he offered. The guy then walked over to the other side and sat down himself, where he was previously seated.

"Um– Hong Jiyeon, right?" He asked, breaking the awkward silence that clouded around them for a couple of seconds.

The fact that he also sounded a little awkward and nervous made Jiyeon feel a little bit of relief knowing she's not the only one feeling this way.

Guessing by his tone, she can tell he's awkward and at the same time, she can tell he isn't the best English speaker. She thought it would be better to let him know that he can speak in their native language. To be more comfortable.

"Yes, that's right" – "And you can speak Korean, if you want to," She added right away, speaking Korean this time, trying to ignore her nervous heart and speak as confidently as she can at the moment.

"I'm Yoon Jeonghan. You must've heard from your aunt," Jeonghan introduced himself, smiling sweetly. His sweet smile — Almost as if honey dripped from them — made her feel like he's actually a nice guy.

He doesn't seem to be any weird guy Jiyeon had expected.

"Ah– yes. She told me. You're he-her colleague's nephew, right?" Jiyeon had no idea what to say. And on top of that, her nervousness made her stutter through her words.

Is it his attractiveness that makes her nervous or the fact that he's basically still a stranger to her? Probably the latter.

"Mhm. I actually met your aunt a couple of times. She's practically at my aunt's house like fifty percent of the time. Though she hasn't been coming for a while. Then I found out it's because you, her niece, came to Paris to visit her," Jeonghan said, sounding as nervous as her. But somehow, he sounded more experienced. Which he was.
