I found myself in the middle of the deserted road once again and this time all of it seemed real. I stood in the middle of the road and was alerted by the blaring of horns once again. Only this time no matter how much i tried i would not wake up. As the truck got closer and closer, it almost reached me thats when my mother woke me up.
"Dear, are you okay?" My mother asked, worried." Yes mom im okay" i lied. "Well come downstairs fast honey, your breakfast is ready" she told me with care. I got up as she left the room and closed the door on her way out. I slumped to my closet and pulled out a dark blue shirt , my plain white jeans and some blue sneakers. I pulled my hair back tightly into a ponytail.
After hoggingmy breakfast, i asked my mum to drop me to school. Upon reaching school, i jumped out of the car instantly and waved my mother goodbye. The school seemed to be empty, i walked through the empty halls which were once filled with people. I began to wonder if i was late for school but when i reached the classrooms, all i saw were empty chairs waiting to be sat in. I checked to see what day it was and found that it was indeed a school day , friday. I ran out of the school still in shock and back home. I opened the screen door that led to inside my house and found my mum busy in the kitchen but unusually quiet."Mum???"i spoke with doubt in my voice. But to my surprise instead of turning around she just paused her work and stood still.
"Mum ???" i spoke with doubt in my voice. But to my surprise instead of turning around she just paused. I stood confused as my mother still stood still. She turned around with a creepy grin on her face which made my goosebumps stand. I woke up all of a sudden. My shirt stuck to my back because of the sweat. I realised now a new nightmare would haunt me.
