We sat in the car talking about random things. It was getting dark and we were not home yet. We continued talking when loud honking drew our attention. I saw a huge truck hurdling towards us. Penelope looked tense and i bet so did i. Penelope locked her eyes on the road but unfortunately she was not able to save us. The car crashed and bits of glass went on penelope but i was unharmed. I screamed in terror. I switched on my phone and called the ambulance. They came in a matter of minutes.

I waited outside the room my aunt was admitted in, after getting myself checked up by the doctor in case anything had happened to me. I paced back and forth. The thought of losing aunt penelope made me tear up. Why was life playing such cruel jokes with me?? I sobbed my eyes out when the doctor came out of the operation theatre with a sad expression on his face. He looked at me with a pitiful smile. " umm.. Miss ellie??" he asked doubtfully. " yes im ellie... Doctor how's my aunt??" i asked with concern. " well ellie dear since you are big now you should understand" the doctor said. " im sorry but we couldn't save her..." and thats when i fainted.

I woke up in a room in the hospital. The machines beeped. The doctor prescribed some medicine and tild me i could leave.

I hurried outside the hospital and called out for a taxi. As soon as the taxi came to a halt in front of ny eyes, i told the driver the address of aunt penelope's house. I reached there quick as a flash. I pulled out my wallet and gave the taxi driver money. I quickly ran inside the house as my tears were spilling over.

Why was life playing a cruel joke with me?!? Everyone i loved and ever cared about had turn against me in one way or another. Now i was left alone without any one's love. What would i do?? I didn't want to go back to my mother as she would kill me.

I sat on the sofa and thought about what i could do. The only option was to stay alone at aunt penelope's house. But i'd better be careful. I have a feeling that this is just the beginning....
