CHAPTER- 3

....Voila's Pov....
I woke up with unusual noises, I quickly rushed downstairs only to notice a dancing figure of Evy, she was screaming "I said I'm fine but it wasn't true, I don't wanna keep secret just to keep you" I yelled "Yeah!! Evy we know you are not fine you are mentally unstable", she simply glared at me.
I was preparing my kind of coffee just then my phone rang, I saw a call from an unusual number that mostly don't happen cause only my friends and family have my phone number others need to contact to my manager.I picked up the call .

Voila: Hello!! Who is this?
Sky: Hii Voila I'm umm.. Skyler..
Voila: Hey how on the earth did you got my number?
Sky: Actually, I have my sources, I just wanna say I really liked your sunglasses, I genuinely wanna buy the same.
Voila: See, I really don't know anything about the glasses, they were really picked by Evy, so if you are okay asking to her so I can hand over the phone.
Sky:If that's the only option, then go for it.
I passed the phone to Evy :
Evy: Hello there!
Sky: Hey!! I'm actually sorry for yesterday, I was just being a little playfull; I didn't realised I over did it.
Evy: Nevermind I over reacted !!
Sky: Okay then are we cool ?? If yes can we three hangout together it'll be fun. I wanna have a wordrobe change and you'd be a great help I guess.
Evy : Yeahh! we are cool, and yes we can if Voila is fine. I won't mind.
Sky: She'll be fine I know she's a goddess, I'll text her the location ,See you soon diavolo!! ((demon))

We were not really busy so we decided to meet Sky. We reached the location, instead of picking a simple caffe to meet us he picked a hellish big multiple star hotel, This man is something else!! While going inside I warned Evy to behave, she's really a kid sometimes. There we saw Sky sitting on a VIP kind of table he waved at me saying,"Hello Goddess" and passed a smile to Evy saying "Hello demon" I want to thank the gods of heaven that Mr. Arrogant isn't here.
We settled down and started discussing about our preferable fashion brands. Our fashion fiesta "Evy Silverwood" took the charge and she started showing her rarest clothing designes,
Just then with a gust of wind there entered the iceberg "Cliff Everhart" but why is he here?. The yelling Sky brought me out of my lala land "Hey dude when I asked you to come along you denied me and now you followed me here" He side eyed Sky and said " I was meeting a client nearby, so I thought to catch up" Sky still decided to mess up and said "But you could've called, this is a stalker kind of behaviour" That was it I can't help with my laughter anymore I and Evy burst out laughing .This Skyler !!He makes us feel like we know him since forever .

We three kept discussing shits while Cliff wasn't part of any of them he just kept staring every now and then, I and Sky ordered coffee, Evy and Cliff got tea, we blabbered about our business and education and our busy schedules, I decided to leave I took out my card and was about to hand it to Sky, just then Cliff said "You don't need to worry about bills, We own the hotel"
Well!! thats not surprising they own the freaking hotel, but that's too much.
I smiled and waved at them as we heard Skyler saying "Bye Goddess bye-bye Demon". Evy shot back "Bye bye hell". I looked at Cliff hoping he'll say something and to my surprise he did, he said "Via" oh! that's the nickname he has given me, the abbreviation for Voila. The papers for the land are ready Sky will forward them to your manager by the evening" I hummed in response he finished off saying"Ci vediamo dopo,Amore"((See you later,Love))...Hell what language is he speaking, whatever it is he sounds hot, I'm Lunatic don't mind me. I saw him smirking before I waved again while walking away dragging Evy.

Me and Evy went to our company to check up on our upcoming projects, there's not much of work so we reached home by 6, Evy and I decided to pull a movie night with lots of junk food and drinks we were engrossed in the movie suddenly Evy asked "Have you received the papers of the land for your Caffe ??" "Oh!! That just escaped my mind I'm glad you reminded me" I muttered. I picked up my phone and dialled my manager. Cassie chirped "Hello Mam "I replied her saying "Heyy Cassie !!Did you get the papers of that Everhart's property?" She made a questioning sound and said "Not yet mam, I think It'll take around a week. Atleast that's what Mr. Skyler's manager said". "Around a week?? They said that they'll send them by evening" I enquired. But Mr. Skyler went through some accident, I don't know much" she replied. I was taken aback "How could he ?? I met him around 5 hours ago".I managed to say "Okay.... i'll call you later .With this I hung up, an accident how's that possible. I saw Evy snuggling to the couch, I hesitated confronting her although she won't admit, even though they both bicker like kids deep down I think Evy has started growing feelings for Sky, I exhaled deeply and said in a low voice "Evy get up. I heard Sky met an accident should we go to see him??" Evy turned to me with a speed of light and asked me flagbasterd "An acc.. accident buttt howw..?? he was fine few hours back"
I mustered some courage and explained her my convo with Cassie.
"Let's go" was all she said, I quickly grabbed my phone and tried calling Sky's phone hoping someone would pick up his phone but no answer. Then I dialled Cliff's manager's phone number he's the only one I can call. He picked the call in few bells. I directly asked "How's Sky" he gulped and replied "Mam I don't know anything except that he took a flight to Colorado 5 hours back he landed safely and then he was.."
"He was what ??" I asked ."Mam it's not my place to tell, I'll inform sir that you called he would surely call you back if he feels that it's necessary "with this he hung up.
As much I've understood Cliff doesn't look like a person to call back, so I'mnt expecting a call we can only sit and wait. Evy came down stairs dragging a bag and announced "Let's reach California first we can contact someone later, I've packed some clothes for us" I some what feel she's right so we took a seat in our car and headed towards the airport. I saw the phone flashing with a number. I grabbed it and recieved the call in a second.

I hestiantly said "He..hello" I heard a very worked up voice "Hello Cara mia"((my beloved)). I asked "Cliff How's Sky" he said in a lowly voice" He's in the operating theatre I..I..don't know. All I managed to say was" Don't worry he'll be fine for sure, we are in our way". His tone suddenly changed "You don't have to come Voila, it's not safe around us" "We Are Already Half Our Way" I shot back
"You are such a troubled child" he retorted. 'Okay listen I'm sending a car, when you'll land here you would sit only in that car and our driver will bring you here, tell me a word that I should tell to the driver when you'll confirm the word then only you'll take a seat' he urged. "My word would be Trouble"He chuckled saying nice pick Bella((Beautiful))."I'm waiting"

After a two hours flight we landed in California the driver confirmed the word and dropped us near a big hospital. We went to the counter and requested them to tell where's 'Skyler Winterson' they motioned towards the right, we rushed in that direction, And there stood Cliff in his fragile form as if he'll shatter if I'll touch him. Evy went near the operating room to get a glance of Sky. I went to him and asked "what happened exactly" . "He was shot in his arm, there's a possibility he can lose his arm" he stuttered.
I hated this side of Cliff where he's vulnerable this makes me want to run to him and hold him tightly and never let go, I am a person of action but now I don't know how to comfort him. I sat by his side staring his dark black orbs. I asked "How's he now??". "He has to be fine Amore he has to be fine,I cannot take another loss in my life I can't" he replied .I was in the verge of crying and I felt his tears building too. He looked at me admiringly and I heard him softly calling me "Via", and that's what I remember the last cause next what he said was what I expected the least and I really don't know how to react. For heaven's sake!! What kind of dilemma is this !! Show me the way out God.
