Only If I Could Unlove You

Chapter 9: Attention

Jayden walked towards the school's entrance and everyone automatically paved way for him. He is literally the hottest guy in school right now. Girls couldn't help but ogle at him while some boys turned envious.

But he,was oblivious to all the attention he was giving and was focused on where Prissy stood with two girls beside her. He was almost at the entrance when someone blocked his way.

" Hey there cutie, I'm Matilda "

A girl dressed in a really short shirt and a tank top introduced herself. She's 5'1 ft tall  and her blonde hair was tired into a high ponytail. She had blue eyes and her lips were painted with red lipstick. He could tell she was someone he was supposed to avoid with the way she was looking at him.

He just smiled and introduced himself

" I'm Jay.. "

Meanwhile, Prissy and her two friends just stared at the duo talk. Prissy could care less about what he does as long as it doesn't have to do with her but Anna on the other hand was talking it too personal

"... Well look who it is. Isn't it slutty Matilda. What's he doing talking with a girl like her?"

Like in every highschool we have the popular three (Prissy, Anna and Merillin) but... In Crestview high there are others who also gather attention.

There's Matthew Kay. He is the school's soccer team captain and every girls dream boy, well.... Until Jayden showed up. He is well known for his mad skills and love for soccer. He has two other friends who are always with him. Josh and Luke. Just like Prissy,the three have been best friends ever since they were kids. Matt has won lots of awards.And also playing girls. To him, girl's aren't meant to be taken seriously. All he  needs is someone who he can mess around with.-you know what I mean-. But runmors have it that he has had a crush on Merillin ever since grade school but never tried approaching her.

Then there's Matilda Barnes aka Slutty Matilda. She got that name in the first year of highschool when her nude pictures leaked all around campus. She was the school's cheer team captain till she was removed because of the scandal. She's known for sleeping around with boys, doing drugs and whatnot. The school has tried suspending her but since her dad is a very influential person, it's very hard doing anything to her.

Jayden and Matilda spoke for a while then she left him but not without giving him a peck on his cheek. Prissy just looked at the scene but her focus was more on his clothes. They had really match clothes. How did she not see it this morning? She wore a black hoodie which had xxxtentation's picture drawn at the front with blue ripped trousers and blue nike sneakers.

" We should get going..."

Merillin said and the three walked into the building. The moment the three left,Jayden glaced at the spot where she previously stood with her friends.

Soon it was time for lunch and the three girls headed to the school's cafeteria.

Sitting at their usual spot, Anna was busy doing something with her mirror, Merillin as usual playing some game on her phone while Prissy in her hand, held a book.
The three say there in silence when  Anna they hear Anna ask..

"May...Is it me or... Do my eyes look dark?"

"They're fine"  Merillin answered without looking up from her phone making Anna pout.

"But you didn't even look. How about you Prissy, what do you think?"

She asked Prissy. Prissy looked up from her book and checked. Anna had flawless skin but was always worried about her looks.

" They're extra dark... Oh and you have dark circles too"

Prissy said with a straight face and Anna's face turned pale.

"What?!! And you're telling me this now?.... Ah I have to take care of it"

Anna quickly got up and carried her bag. She rushed out of the cafeteria covering her face from others.

" Did you have to do that? "
Merillin finally closed the game

" There was no other way to get her to shut up.. "

Stated Prissy who went back to her book.

Just then, Prissy felt a someone hover in front of her. Looking up, she saw it was Jayden and he was holding the lunch bag her mom wanted to give her earlier

" Hi. Can I sit? "
