Chapter 16: He's gonna come

Later that afternoon Anna and May came over to Prissy's house. Anna as usual dressed in a brown body hanging dress which exposed a bit of her cleavage. It was armless and she paired it with a black laced heel while May on the other hand... Uh well wore a grey boyfriend jeans with a black t-shirt and a tattered denim jacket over it.
She let her hair loose and paired everything up with a black nike sneaker.

" It's gotta be someone from school "

Anna said. Prissy told them about the anonymous number which has been texting her for days now. Prissy sat on her bed legs folded doing something on her laptop while Anna sat at Prissy's dressing table trying out all Prissy's new lipstick shades.
May on the other than sat on the bean bag beside the dressing table doing something on her phone.

"You know,after all this...I still can't believe Jay is your brother. I mean...heck I would die just to have him as my brother"

Anna said smacking her lips together then looked at Prissy through the mirror.

" You have six brothers Anna..."

Prissy said without looking up from her computer.

"Argh unfortunately for me. You know how hard it is having six older brothers?! "

May chuckled.
She finally placed her phone down and got up.

" Everything is annoying to you Anna. "
May said
She walked behind Anna and pulled her ponytail teasingly. Anna winced then glared at her through the mirror.

" Hey! You'll mess up my hair"

Anna said to May who just smiled and patted her -Anna- hair.

May sat lazily on Prissy's bed and said.

" So... Are you going to Matt's party?"

Prissy closed her laptop and looked at May.

"You know I don't really like stuffs like that."
Prissy said

"Oh but come on... it'll be fun" Anna got up and joined the duo on the bed.

"I can't Anna..... my mom wouldn't allow"
Prissy said to them and they both gave her a 'seriously' look.

"And since when did the almighty Prissy care about what people think?"

Anna said.

" You May? You're going....?"

May sighed and glanced at Anna

" Someone needs to take care of her"
May said. Anna beamed and jumped on May this hugging her tight.

" You're coming? Ahh thanks May. Gosh I love you so much"

May who later there with Anna on top of her could only freeze.
Her heart skipped a beat. In fact a lot of beats the moment Anna hugged her.

Prissy could only look at the scene with pursed lips. Ever since they were kids, Prissy realized how much May cared about Anna. She would protect Anna when she got into trouble. Take care of her when she was sick. She'd be happy when Anna's happy and be hurt when Anna's hurt. On her 13th birthday she remembered May came out to her and made Prissy promise not to tell anyone that she was lesbian.
And so she did. Prissy couldn't believe how oblivious Anna was not to see that her best friend was in love with her. Madly.

After a while Anna pulled back from the hug when her phone rang. She reached out to her bag and pulled out her phone and saw it was a message from someone called...."Manuel".
A blush appeared on her cheeks and she got off the bed saying...

"I'll text you guys the address ahhh it's going to be so much fun"

She run out of the bedroom squealing in delight.

Prissy gave May ' the look ' and may could only sigh.

" You know, you're going to have to tell her how you feel eventually right?"

" I know Prissy,but you know I'm not good with words. And look at her, she's definitely not just going to accept it if I propose to her."

Prissy gave May a small smile. Somewhere inside, Prissy didn't think Anna was going to hate the idea but she kept it to herself.

" Hey I gotta go aight? I'll see you tonight?"

May got off the bed and grabbed her bag. Prissy looked at her with a ' no way in hell look '

" Come on. Let's go. Just this one time. Anna is going to be really disappointed if we don't. You can bring Jay along"

" Fine. Whatever. Go already"

May just smiled and walked out of Prissy's room. Prissy slumped onto her bed and stared at the ceiling when she received a message

Unknown number: I was wondering if you'd be going to Matt's party

Prissy: oh hey you....

Unknown number:. I know you've missed me buh I need to know if you're going or not.

Prissy: so what if I'm going... what's that gotta do with you?

Unknown number: well,so I'll know if I'm gonna dress up or not...

Prissy: you're going?

Unknown number: only of you are...

Prissy: what are you gonna wear? So yk...we can match

Unknown number: I see what you're trying do.... And it's not gonna work. Are you coming or not?

Prissy smiled reading the message.
This person was starting to get interesting everyday.

Prissy: Yeah

Unknown number: cool. See you there,love * two hearts emoji*
