"And a second waiter walked by and tripped." I say.

"I told you it was something more than bad luck. She's cursed." Griffin says.

"It's crazy because she told me a Caucasian witch cursed her in the 90s." I say.

"Everybody was practicing witchcraft in the 90s." Griffin says.

"Yeah, right." I say, laughing.

"I'm serious!" Griffin says.

"Well, Y/n is not cursed. She is not jinxed. She doesn't have bad luck." I say.

"Well, when's the last time you talked to her?" Griffin asks.

"Lunch, I texted her and she hasn't texted back." I say.

My phone rings and I see a call from Y/n.

"Speaking of her." I say.

"Hello." I say answering.

"Hey, sorry, I didn't respond. I was at the hospital." Y/n says.

"What?! Why?!" I ask.

"I got bitten by a monkey at the zoo." Y/n says.

"How?" I ask.

"I was talking to one of the zookeepers and a monkey came out of nowhere, jumped on my back and bit my shoulder." Y/n says.

This woman might actually be jinxed. How does a monkey, which I'd assume be enclosed, jump on your back and bite your shoulder?

"Are you okay?" I ask.

"Yeah, I'm at home." Y/n says.

"Can I come over?" I ask.

"Yeah, that's fine." Y/n says.

"I'll be there soon." I say.

"Okay, bye." She says.

"Bye." I say.

"What was that about?" Griffin asks as I hang up.

"She went to the zoo to get info for a story and a monkey bit her shoulder. She was in the hospital." I say.

"They never let the animals out of their enclosures, if that's not a clear sign of being jinxed, I don't know what is." He says.

"Well, I'm gonna go over and make sure she's okay." I say.

He nods and I get up.

20 minutes later...

I knock on the door and it opens a few seconds later.

"Hey." I say.

"Hey." Y/n says, letting me in.

I hug her and accidentally bump her shoulder with mine.
