Hailee's View

"How's that girlfriend of yours?" Mom asks.

"She's good. I'm meeting her family tonight." I say.

"Really?" Mom asks.

"Yeah, I'm going to her parents' house to meet them and her older sister. Apparently her older brother doesn't come around much since he got married." I say.

"So when do I get to meet her?" Mom asks.

"I dunno, I'll ask her." I say.

Mom smiles and nods.

Time Skip

"Watch your step when you walk in." Y/n says knocking.

I nod and the door opens.

"Hey, twerp." The woman says.

Y/n smiles and they hug tightly.

"Hailee, this is my sister, Allison. Allison, this is my girlfriend, Hailee." Y/n says as we shake hands.

"How'd you pull her?" Allison whispers to Y/n.

Y/n rolls her eyes and I chuckle. Y/n follows Allison inside and I watch my step.

"Mom, this is Hailee. Hailee, this is my mom Alice." Y/n says as a woman walks over.

"It's so nice to meet you." Alice says shaking my hand.

"You guys look exactly alike." I say.

"So that means I look young? How old do you think I am?" Alice asks.

"You look 40ish." I say.

"We're gonna have to keep you around for a long time." Alice says.

I laugh and they all smile.

"Changed the light bulb." A man says coming downstairs.

"Oh, I didn't know the company was here." The man says.

We make eye contact and his face turns pale.

"Dad, this is Hailee. Hailee this is my dad, Mark." Y/n says as we shake hands.

"You okay?" I ask.

"Yeah, yeah, you just look a little familiar." Mark says.

"Cause she's a celebrity." Alice says.

"No, that's not it. What's your last name?" Mark says.

"Steinfeld." I say.

"O-Oh." Mark says.

"Have you taken your meds today?" Allison asks.

"Of course, if I didn't your mother would just shove them down my throat." Mark says.

We laugh and he smiles.

Time Skip

"It was a pleasure to meet you." Mom says.

Hailee smiles and mom hugs her. Allison hugs her and I smile.

"I'll wait outside." Hailee says.

I nod and Hailee kisses my cheek. I smile and Hailee walks out.

"You just missed her." Mom says as dad comes back downstairs.
