Y/n's View
I tap Hailee and she slowly opens her eyes.
"Get up." I say.
"No." Hailee mumbles, closing her eyes.
"Didn't you say you had to be there at 10:30? It's 9." I say.
"Exactly, so let me sleep a little longer." Hailee mumbles.
"Don't you wanna get breakfast?" I ask.
"You can go get something and bring it back." Hailee mumbles.
"Hailee." I say.
"I don't think you spent 3 hours driving through traffic last night. I think you sat in the passenger seat and watched me." Hailee says.
"I did so much more than that! I was in charge of picking songs on Spotify." I say.
We stare at each other and both laugh.
"Come on." I say.
Hailee yawns and rubs her eyes. She tries to get off of her stomach and flops back down.
"I'm so tired!" She says into the pillow.
"You can take a nap later." I say.
She sighs and gets up. She looks at me and smiles.
"You look so good." She says.
I smile and kiss her.
Time Skip
I feel a tap and turn to see Hailee.
"Yeah?" I ask taking my headphones off.
"You look bored." Hailee says, sitting beside me.
"I'm just... chilling." I say.
"Why do you have headphones on?" Hailee asks.
"Because I wanna listen to music." I say.
"So what I'm doing right now isn't music?" Hailee asks.
"It's unfinished music. You think I wanna listen to you hum and sing, then say, uh-uh, delete that?" I say.
Hailee chuckles and I smile.
"Well, I'm almost done and then we can go." Hailee says.
"Where to next?" I ask.
"We can get lunch and go shopping if you want. There's a mall not too far." Hailee says.
"I know, I don't think I can afford those stores. Even with my promotion." I say.
"It's cool, I'll pay." She says.
"I don't want you spending your money on me." I say.
"You serious? I have more money than I know what to do with. Let me spend some of it on you." Hailee says.
"Weird flex, but okay." I say.
"Did you just use 2018 lingo in current year?" Hailee asks.
"People don't say that anymore?" I ask.
"Not really." Hailee says.
"Well, I don't use social media for anything other than work so I'm sorry if I'm not up to date on the new lingo." I say.
"Good." Hailee says.
"Good?" I ask.
"Yeah, I want you to be my little secret." Hailee says.
I feel my face heat up and she smiles. We kiss and I smile.
Time Skip
"Ooh." Hailee says grabbing a hanger off the rack.
"You like it?" I ask.
"Yeah." Hailee says.
"Try it on." I say.
Hailee nods and I follow her to the dressing room.
"You can come in." Hailee says.
"I don't want anyone to think we're doing some freaky shit." I say.
Hailee laughs and nods. She open the door and goes into the fitting room. She closes the door and I wait.
"Come here." Hailee says.
I open the door and go inside.
"Ooh." I say closing the door.
"You like it?" She asks, smiling.
"Yeah, it looks good on you." I say.
"Can you zip it up so I can make sure it really fits?" She asks.
I nod and she turns around. I zip the back of the dress up and bump the security tag with my hand.
The tag explodes and shoots out. Ink gets in my eye and I groan loudly.
"You okay?!" Hailee asks as I cover my eye with my hand.
"My fucking eye!" I say.
"Go to the bathroom and rinse it." Hailee says.
I hurry out and go to the bathroom. I turn the water on and lean over the sink. I splash water in my eye repeatedly and groan.
I hear the bathroom door open and Hailee comes in.
"Let me see." Hailee says.
I lift my hand and Hailee makes me look at her. I open my eye and quickly shut it.
"Just keep it closed, I'll take you to the hospital." Hailee says.
I nod and wince in pain.
Time Skip
"How's your eye?" Hailee asks.
"Stings." I say.
Hailee nods and sits in the chair beside my hospital bed.
"What are the odds of that happening? Like, dye is just supposed to spill out but the tag literally exploded into pieces." Hailee says.
"You get pretty used to it after being jinxed your entire life." I say.
"Yeah, but I thought all of this was over." Hailee says.
"You know, you haven't told me that you loved me in a while." I say.
"I didn't realize. You think me not telling you brought it back?" Hailee says.
"Yeah, you did this to me. Like, if I lose my eye, it's all your fault." I say.
"You are not going to lose your eye." Hailee says laughing.
"Who knows?" I ask, chuckling.
"Well, I'm sorry. I love you, I'll do my best to tell you fifty-'leven-hundred times a day, every day. For the rest of our lives." Hailee says.
"I love you too." I say smiling.
Hailee smiles and kisses me.
