Y/n laughs and nods.
"I met him once." Dad says.
"Really?" Y/n asks.
"Yeah, my sister and him were involved a little." Dad says.
"You seriously think she wants to hear you talk about the women her dad used to be with?" I ask.
"I figured she wants to know a bit of her dad's history. Hell, in another life you two could be cousins." Dad says.
"Dad!" I say as Y/n stares in shock.
Dad and Griffin laugh and I shake my head. I grab Y/n's hand and drag her off the couch. I lead her upstairs and into my old room.
"Whose room is this?" Y/n asks as I shut the door.
"Mine, my old one." I say.
"It's very..." Y/n asks, looking around.
"Pink and girly? Heavy inspired by Disney princesses?" I ask.
"Heh, yeah." Y/n says.
"My parents redesigned my room when I was obsessed with Disney princesses and refused to make it normal when I grew up." I say.
"I remember having a sleepover when I was 15 and pretending the guest room was mine so nobody had to see my real room." I say.
Y/n laughs and I smile. I lay in the bed and pat it. Y/n gets in bed facing me and I smile.
"We're 27 years old, laying in a Cinderella bed, by the way." Y/n says.
I laugh and she smiles.
"Wait, when's your birthday?" I ask.
"December." She says.
"No way, mine too." I say.
"I bet I'm older." She says.
"Wrong. When's yours?" I say.
"6th." She says.
"Fuck!" I say as she giggles.
"When's yours?" She asks.
"The 11th!" I say.
"Ahaha, suck it!" She says.
I widen my eyes and she giggles.
"Can I tell you something?" I ask, holding Y/n's hand.
"Of course." Y/n says.
"I love you." I say.
Y/n's pupils dilate and I watch the sun shine through clouds on her face.
"You what?" Y/n asks.
"Uh, I love you." I say.
Maybe I shouldn't have said that..
Y/n places her hand on my cheek and kisses me.
"I love you too." Y/n says.
"You made me feel like I shouldn't have said that." I say.
Y/n laughs and I smile.
"I just felt really weird for a second." Y/n says.
"That was the feeling of you falling in love with me." I say.
"I've been falling since we first met." Y/n says.
I smile and we kiss.
"The sky cleared up." Y/n says gesturing towards the window.
"Yeah, because my love for you is just so strong, it separated the water particles and-" I say.
"Shut the fuck up." Y/n says giggling.
I giggle and she smiles. She kisses me and I smile.
Time Skip; Y/n's View
I fill the bowl with dog food and walk over to the sink. I turn the hot handle and back away.
Water pours from the faucet, down into the drain and I stare in shock.
Huh... the water didn't spray me.
I slowly walk up the sink and wash my hands. I shake the water off and grab my phone.
It slips out of my hand and hits the floor.
"Fuck." I say, picking my phone up.
I stare at the unscathed screen and furrow my eyebrows.
I can't even count the amount of times I've broken my phone screen because of a slight tap and now it's fine?
I grab my backpack and then grab my keys.
"Be a good boy, okay?" I ask.
Simba wags his tail and I give him a pat on the head. I walk out and lock the door.
I get in the car and press to button to start it. I put my seatbelt on and a call from Hailee appears on the screen.
"Hey." I say answering.
"Hey, baby." Hailee says.
"What's up?" I ask.
"Was about to ask you the same thing. Uh, nothing. Just bored, anything super bad happen to you this morning?" Hailee says.
"I turned my faucets on... and water didn't spray on me." I say.
"What?" Hailee asks.
"I dropped my phone and it didn't crack." I say.
"Is this supposed to be bad?" Hailee asks.
"No, but... something's off." I say.
"Maybe the universe just wanted to bless you with a nice, normal morning." Hailee says.
"M-Maybe." I say.
"Uh, I'm gonna call you later. Traffic's usually pretty bad and I gotta focus." I say.
"Okay, love you." Hailee says.
"Love you too." I say.
I hang up and rub my eyes. I exhale and reverse out of the driveway.
