Chocolates and Cherries~D.M.

It had been a month since Y/N started working, she have enjoyed working so far. Since it was mid summer there werent many customers during the day, Y/N kept herself busy by reading books about potion making and also she read some Muggle fiction books. However, evenings were another story. It was crowded, many witches and widzards came to socialise and do their weekly shopping. Still, Y/N enjoyed the job overall, she felt happy that she was helping Remus.

She sat down back to her chair behind the register , she had just finished taking care of the last customer that came in and now she wanted nothing but to go back to her home to sleep.

She got the last energy bar that was left in her bag and began eating it. Her eyes found their way to the clock on the wall, there was an hour left until her shift ended.

She rested her head on the counter infront of her, constantly checking for new customers. Not so long after her breath slowed down as she closed her eyes,. She driffted into a slumber with her arms supporting her head.

Y/N didnt even hear the bell ringing when a customer came in, her head remained on top of the counter. 

The customer on the other hand, didnt turn to face the cashier, he went over to apple section and started picking them one by one. He hated the ones with the yellowish green color. He liked them green, a green that is much more vivid.

After he was done picking, he walked over to the register to pay for them, only to notice a familiar person resting her head on the counter. 

He cleared his throat loudly, hoping it would wake the acquaintance infront of him. 

After he failed miserably, he called out for her name multiple times. No response.

Annoyed, he harshly shook the girl , however, he was met with the response, "5 more minutes please."

"I cant believe you fell asleep in the middle of your shift! You are fired!" 

Y/N jolted up awake with those words. Her eyes showed how panicked she was at that moment, they were ready to meet with her boss, but of course they met with the familiar gray ones instead. 

"Malfoy?"

"I cant believe someone hired you as an employe." 

"Why are you here?" Y/N said her eyes moving to the clock, she should have closed the shop by now. "It's already past midnight."

"I craved apples." 

She smiled at the answer tiredly, she took the bag infront of her and put it on the scale beside her. She yawned before talking, "That will be 5 Sickles."

Draco paid for his apples and took a bite from one. His eyes did not leave Y/N's actions, she was busy cleaning the store to close.

"Why are you working here?" Draco asked.

Y/N didnt turn to face the blonde and kept on looking for the keys to close the shop. After she finally managed to find them she replied to him. "It's non of your business Malfoy." 

"Did you read the books I wrote you about?" Draco asked his eyes examing the girls actions.

"I did, we shall start brewing it as soon as school starts." 

"Right."

"Right."

"Bye."

"Bye." 

With that Draco left. After she closed the shop, Y/N checked the clock again. There was a full moon today, meaning Remus had probably already transformed until that moment. She sighed and got the Floo Powder  on the counter.

"Lupin's House."

Harry, Ron, Hermione, Fred, George and Y/N were walking, exploring the mini games. They had arrived at the Quidditch World Cup, it was so crowded that if your dropped a needle, it wouldnt reach the ground.

Fred, George and Y/N were playing one of the games there, They were hitting the fluffy monster like obstacles with some balls, one by one. Apparently if they could hit 30 of them within 2 minutes, they could win the Nimbus 2001 that was showcased behind the counters.

Harry and Ron left after their first tries along with Hermione. Fred and George were also getting tired of trying again and again, however Y/N didnt plan on leaving until she got the broom.

Y/N threw the ball in her hands angrily as the timer rang, which meant she lost in total 6 times. Fred and George sighed in unison. 

"Honestly Y/N, we shouldnt waste any more money on this stupid machine, it's a scam." Fred said, after his 5 loses, he decided he wanted to spend his money on somehing better.

"No way you are suggesting to leave! I'm not leaving." Y/N protested. "If you want you both can leave, I dont care!" 

Well she didnt exactly expected them to agree on leaving while saying that sentence. They left  with their goodbyes and told her to be safe. Now, she was left standing in front of the counters  alone. 

She sighed and turned back to face the Nimbus 2001 with a determinded look on her face. She gave the employe another Sickle, ready for another try.

She hit and hit the monsters. She was getting better at the game, there were 30 seconds left and there were 7 other monsters to kill. She threw the balls in her hands, she got a double kill and some other kills too. As she threw the ball last second, it hit the two monsters in the middle, killing both at the same time. "Hell yes!" She shouted, making people around her turn to her way.

"Sorry buddy, when the timer ended they werent down." The man behind those counters said, trying to fake a sad expression.

"You cant possibly say that I lost because of that reason, the ball left my hand before the timer ended!" She protested, her hands on the counter as she leaned towards the mans way. 

"Sorry, rules are rules."

"I dont see any rules written here." The man gestured to the wall beside them. Y/N looked towards the place the man was pointing at. He was telling the truth.

Her hands went to her hair as she let out a frustrated cry. 

"Making a scene again I see Lupin."  She turned towards the familiar voice, she couldnt get any more annoyed at that moment. "Malfoy."

Draco sent a wink to her way before handing the man infront of her a Sickle to play the game.

He won.

He fucking won on his first try.

Both the employee and Y/N were wide eyed and had their mouths agape. He man unwillingly grabbed and handed Draco the Nimbus 2001 while Y/N was busy proccessing what had happened.

"But- You already have a Nimbus 2001."

Draco's eyes found their way to Y/N's, he shot her his usual evil smirk and walked away without a word.
