Chocolates and Cherries~D.M.

Being back to Hogwarts made Y/N feel tense, unlike how she normally felt at the starting of the school years. She normally used to feel exited, reuniting with her friends, being able to use magic freely... However this time, people were giving her dirty looks as she  walked down the halls along with the Weasley twins. She tried to ignore those glances, however ignoring them didn't really made her relax, she constantly felt on the edge. Also, it would be a crime not to mention the weird vibes she was getting from the new DADA proffessor, Dolores Jane Umbridge. 

Y/N and the Weasley twins noticed the tension around the room as soon as they entered Gryffindor common room. Seamus seemed to giving Harry a speech, the crowd watching them.

"...Let me see because of you. The Daily Prophet's been saying a lot of thing about you Harry, and about Dumbledore as well."

Seamus said as Y/N tried to get to the front of the crowd to see the scene. Seamus, noticing Y/N's arrival turned to her.

"And of course you too, Y/N." Seamus remarked, making some heads turn her way.

"What and your mom believes them?" Harry said, his tone sharp. 

"Well nobody was there the night Cedric died except for you two." 

"Oh, I guess you should read the Prophet then, like your stupid mother. It will tell you anything you need to know."

"Don't you dare to talk to my mother like that!"

"So acording to you Seamus, Cedric passed away because of me and Harry?" Y/N finally spoke, she stepped forward with her arms linked.

"Well yes! One of you probably killed him that night and decided to blame You-Know-Who!"

"Who the hell do you think you're?" Y/N yelled stepping closer to him threateningly, however she was stopped by Fred grabbing her by her arms. 

"Calm down." He spoke with a low voice before turning to Seamus, "If they killed Cedric, they would be in Azkaban Seamus."

"It doesn't work like that-"

Fred turned to the crowd around them, cutting Seamus' sentence, "Does anyone else got a problem with Harry or Y/N?"

No one said anything making the room dead silent for few seconds until Fred spoke again. "Good." He pulled Y/N out of the common room while people stole glances between them and Harry. 

Once Fred made sure no one was around he spoke with a hint of anger and concern in his voice, "You can't let them get to you Y/N, control your anger. You were about to attack him for Merlin's sake!" 

"He litterary called me and Harry  killers!" Y/N protested, her voice loud.

"I heard what he said, but that doesn't give you the right to attack someone!" Fred yelled, making Y/N fall into silence. He sighed, regretting shouting at her face. "Look, I just don't want you to get into trouble. I know that you feel anxious about everything that happened, but I care about you, and they are bunch of other people who do too..." Fred said with a softer voice.

"I'm sorry." 

"It's okay."

"Are we actually finishing it tonight?" Y/N asked, examining the potion Draco was stiring.

"Yes." Draco answered with a huff for the hunderth time.

"What if it doesn't work?" 

"Than we're fucked." 

Y/N sighed but didn't reply, she kept eyeing the potion in Draco's hands. It didn't feel right. No matter how hard she tried to be optimistic, it still felt like something was missing. 

Draco stole glances at her determinded look, he felt like she was thinking of something, because of her unusual silence, but he didn't comment on it. His hands continued on brewing the potion with a calm manner. 

Y/N finally lifted her gaze away from the potion, she reached towards the pocket of her jacket before pulling out a small bottle.

A look of puzzlement crossed Draco's face as he stared at the golden coloured liquid. "Is that..." He began, however before he could finish his sentence Y/N opened the bottle and drank it. 

She extented her arm to give the other half of the potion to Draco. "Liquid luck."

Draco shot her a look before he took it and drank the other half. 

His gaze met Y/N's while holding the empty bottle in his hand, a realisation seemed to cross their faces as they stared at eachother. 

"Snake fangs..." They said in unison as their gazes shifted between the door and eachother. Without a  word they walked out of the Room of Requirments side to side, their shoulders touching eachothers occasionally.

To their surprise luck was on their side. No proffessor crossed their way as they walked through the warm corridors of Hogwarts. 

After they arrived in front of Snape's storeroom, Draco unlocked it with his wand allowing Y/N to step into it. Y/N looked for the ingredient while Draco was checking the corridor to see if anyone was coming, which was useless if you ask me. As I said, luck was on their side.

Y/N eyed the jar Snape kept the snake fangs in. She reached to the top shelf and grabbed it before taking as much as she needed.

"I'm done." She whispered, motioning the small jar in her hand. Draco nodded, they left the storeroom like the found it before they hurried back to the Room of Requirments to perfect the potion.

Y/N crushed the ingredients in quick motions while Draco was waiting for her, his patience reducing every second. To his surprise, Y/N was really quick with it, she slode the powdered snake fangs to the potion with a knife, allowing Draco to stir it to perfection. 

The potion turned into a much more vibrant green colour than before. Draco finally stopped stirring it and turned off the heat. 

Y/N leaned over to take a look at the still bubbling potion, "Do you think it will work?" She asked raising her head away from it.

Sudden closeness didn't make Draco back away, instead he replied with an enthusiastic tone, probably because he was still under the effect of the Felic Felicis, "I know that it will." 

Y/N leaned back, her smile not leaving her face, "I'll let you know when my father tries it." 

Draco himself also had a wide smile on his face as he remained eye contact with Y/N, "Alright."
