Arley's POV
We made our way into the grocery store and I couldn't be more excited to see all the items waiting to be picked. Before I could disappear into the promising items a hand stopped me in the process, tugging on my hand and turning me around.
I turned and saw Mia and Auggie looking and me with raised eyebrows, weird. I grew shy under their gaze and began to lower my head. "No running sweetpea, we don't want to lose you okay?" Mia softly spoke, stroking my hand.
I looked up and gave Mia a nod but I couldn't contain my smile blooming through the excitement. "Auggie, w-what may we g-get?" I asked, tilting my head up to meet his eyes.
He chuckled and bent down to my level. Rude, I'm not that short. "You may get whatever you want Sweetheart." He teased, urging me to grab a shopping cart. I bounced on my feet, grabbing Mia's arm and dragging her with me.
"Someone's excited, hey." Mia laughed. She made her way to the shopping carts and pulled one from the line, I pulled one out as well and cleaned off the holding poll. No one wants to have germs, right?
We walked back to Auggie who was still planted in the spot we left him with wide eyes as he saw two shopping carts. "Sweetheart, we aren't buying the whole grocery store today, are we?" he chuckled, taking the shopping cart from me.
"N-not today, Auggie." I giggled.
"Wait, what?" Mia was shocked. It's true, the last time all four of us went shopping, I almost ended up buying the entire store. It's not my fault, Pappa said I could get whatever I want and what I wanted was to redecorate my room. But that was 4 years ago and I never came close to doing that again.
Making our way through the aisles, we stopped to put a few cooldrinks in, water, ice teas and milkshakes. The last time I checked, there wasn't cooldrink at home so what would it hurt if we bought groceries for the house as well, righ?
Auggie added in wine and a few beers for him and the guys that are coming over, I still don't know who they are but it is a girls not so I won't let anyone ruin it. Especially since it is my first girls night.
The sweets and treats aisle is my favourite, I mean they have lollipops , chips, gummy bears, sour worms and, chocolates. Have I mentioned that they had lollipops? After Mia and I grabbed almost every item on the shelves I grabbed 4 bags of lollipops, cherry, cheery, cherry and, cherry. My favourite.
"Sweetheart, don't you think that is too many lollipops, you know how hyper you get." Auggie asked, staring at me placing the bags in the shopping cart.
"Nu-uh, is not." I whined, stomping my foot and pouting my lip. Mia cooed at me before steeping in front of Auggie, "Sweetpea, I know you can get as many bags as you like. How about we take two bags now and save the two bags, you can always get jars to put them in so you can have one everyday. How does that sound?"
I never thought of that, I looked down at the bags in the cart and had an idea. "W-where do w-we get t-the j-jars?" I quietly asked.
Mia chuckled and motioned to the aisle next to the current one we are in. As she lead the way, I turned to see Auggie staring at her hard. Auggie walked pass me with the cart and I slung my arm around his body. "I'm sowwie B-bubby." I mumbled, scared to slip fether in the store.
Auggie stopped the cart and turned to me, hugging me in the process and I placed my chin on his chest to look up at him. He looked sorry for the comment he made, I know he is only trying to look out for me and make sure I am well hydrated and eating well, though saying no kills him inside and I can see it in his eyes.
