CHAPTER 16

✩。:*•.───── ❁ ❁ ─────.•*:。✩

When Craig heard a scream coming from literally nowhere, he wasn't quite scared, he was more confused than anything.

When he approached the source of the noise he was surprised to find a...guy...?

The alien was a blonde, skinny boy, he had a shade of olive green on his cheeks instead of a regular rose tinted blush. He had pointy ears with a green gradient, and to compliment his appearance a pair of green antennas, matching the rest of his body. He wore cyberpunk-ish cargo pants with neon green details and a grey flight jacket. He had two guns (?) around his waist that he apparently forgot he could use to defend himself instead of just hiding.

If Craig said that wasn't his type he'd been lying.

He only managed to mutter out a 'what the fuck' before the alien turned into a smaller, greener version of himself.

This version looked more like a mini version of the traditional E.T. you'd see for sale at the Halloween session of a dollar store.

The engineer slowly moved to the front of the alien, considering what he would do next. He was never quite the communicator, he was, in fact, very bad at it. He didn't know when to talk in a conversation and sucked with social clues.

Still, he could put in a little effort into trying to calm down the alien, even if he ends up failing terribly (which he probably would)

"Hey...there..."

The alien peeked trough his tiny "hands", showing his black beady eyes, before hiding his face again.

"I...come in peace...?" Craig said as he gave and awkward smile, just to be met with no response.

He sighed and closed his eyes before giving up on communication, he simply was too bad at this.

"Ughhhh I think we're done."

"Let's go trough it one last time, just to guarantee."

"Alright..."

Stan got up from the table he was sitting on top of, he went to the middle of the room, and then, he took a deep breath.

He performed the best he could, not paying attention to the way Kyle looked at him, not realizing that the scientist looked at him as if he was seeing a childhood friend finally completing their dream, he looked almost...proud of Stan.

He looked at Kyle, expectation shining in his eyes. The ginger looked back at Stan and smiled.

"That was perfect! You totally nailed this." Kyle got up and walked to the shapeshifter and put both hands on his shoulders. "There's no way Wendy won't be convinced!"

"You think so."

"I'm sure of it!"

Stan gave him a warm, genuine smile before hugging him tight. They stayed there for a while, holding each other in their arms, enjoying the moment.
