"Stunning", I mumbled to myself while spinning around in that gorgeous black dress. I never thought I'd wear something like this before and who knows I might've never if it weren't for Tyler.

I picked up my phone to text Kate and Lyra to go ahead and that I'd be there in 15 minutes. Mom and Dad were at work and wouldn't be home until tomorrow so I had to do all the house chores instead. As soon as I was done I put on my makeup and earrings and head downstairs to leave. His house wasn't that far a 10 minute walk would be about good.

Before I could even step out the front door I looked out the window to see a black Mercedes in the driveway.

"Holy shit!" My Jaw dropped as this was the same Black Mercedes that Tyler dropped me in.

Will this guy leave me alone for once?

I put on my black heels, walked out of the house and towards the car where I saw Tyler in the driver's seat scrolling on his phone.

"Can you stop following me around? I was planning on walking anyway you know? You don't have to stick your nose in my business." I looked at him cross armed.

He stared at me for a couple seconds as if he was trying to process what he had just seen. "I know I'm ugly you didn't have to prove it."I looked away in distress.

After what seemed like an eternity he finally spoke with a smirk. "You should stop getting your hopes so high Evie."He ran a hand through his hair and continued, "I went to pick up a friend, I was passing by so I thought I'd stop to get some water." He cleared his throat, "Would you mind?" He said looking at the bottle of water in my hand.

I threw the bottle at him and quickly got into the passengers seat and he surely wasn't lying about picking up a friend, I could see someone in the backseat scrolling on his phone he soon looked up at me and smirked before turning to Tyler.

"Yo dude who's this?" He said while catching a glance at me.

"She's none of your business Alex stay out of this." He said, his eyes fixed on the road. His voice was stern and cold. I couldn't quite decipher what was going on in his head.

Alex raised his hands in surrender before speaking, "she's all yours" And leaned back in his seat to which Tyler did not respond.

The rest of the car ride was mere silence and I did not dare to look at either of them till we reached.

As soon as we got out Alex put an arm around Tyler and spoke with a mischievous smirk, "looks like my man's gonna be busy tonight. Join the rest of us when you get bored." The last line felt like a spear through my chest. Was I that hideous?

"Another word and trust me you're gonna regret even coming here Alex so mind your own fucking business and leave us alone or else...." His voice was cold, almost emotionless. Tyler didn't raise his voice or get angry, but the way he spoke made everyone freeze even his friends.

I looked up at him, hoping for some sort of warmth or reassurance, but his face was unreadable, as if nothing about this situation bothered him. It stung. I wasn't sure what hurt more-Alex's comment or Tyler's complete lack of reaction to it. It made me wonder if I was just another part of his night to brush aside, like Alex and his stupid jokes.

"Man chill, you know it was just a harmless joke." He spoke as if this wasn't the first time that he had to deal with 'this side' of Tyler. And with that he went in, leaving the two of us standing there in silence.

His eyes were everywhere except on me. I could sense he was engaged in his own thoughts to even have glance at me after what just happened. "Everyone's waiting let's go." He spoke and walked in. I followed soon after.
