I observed him from far. He kept staying there for maybe five minutes, and then he snapped out of the position. He turned around and started walking down the streets. With each step he took, he looked like he was about to collapse, the feet grasping against the ground, he stared on the floor and didn't look around his surroundings. I was contemplaining whether I should follow him or not, and I ended up beeing curious enough to go after him. Making sure not to disturb him, I walked behind him, close enough to not loose track of him. He continued walking at a slow pace. I heard him muttering some words under his breath, which I couldnt quite grasp. I kept my distance from him, since I didn't want to startle him and cause any more harm. At some point I was close enough to hear what he was saying: "I want to go home" he whispered in a broken voice. He sniffed and wiped away his tears with his hands. I felt sad hearing him say that. He seemed genuinely confused and depressed.

After a while, he finally stopped walking and stood infront of a big mansion. He stared at it for a while, before walking closer towards the doorhandle and carefully opened the door and then stepped inside the mansion. This is where he lives. I thought to myself. The house was big and it was pretty. There was this darker vibe coming from it, probably because it was night and it was raining. The moonlight was kissing the mansion, making it look quite mysterious. Though I knew, that this wasn't a place for me to stay. I was about to leave, since I thought he probably will stay there because he lived there. I turned away, my back facing the mansion as I start walking away. My limbs were tired and I was starting to feel the pain of the burning wounds on my skin. The rain kept falling nicely, cooling down my body a bit. I was walking in pure silence, I heard nothing other than an owl hooting somewhere in the trees. I didn't walk far yet, as I suddenly heard footsteps behind me. Those were running footsteps. They weren't approaching me, but I could catch a glimpse of the source from my sideview. It's the boy. He was running away. He's running away from his home...?

I kept on standing still, comtemplating whether I should go with him or not. Since I had nowhere to go, I decided to follow him to wherever he's going. Finally, I started running after the boy. He didnt notice me at all, it's like he was in his own bubble of emotions. How should I talk to him...? I thought to myself when I realized that it might be a shock to him if he finds out I followed him. Finally, he stopped running. We were in a puplic space. This wasn't a good place to be, especially because some people might see us and call the police. I didn't have anything to hide with at all. I heard a group of people whispering and pointing at me and the boy as I walked past them. I stared at the floor, unable to escape all of the curious eyes. My heart was racing anxiously. The fear crept in my body and replaced my curiousity about the boy. Yet he didnt even turn back around, he just kept walking fast. As I lifted my head up a little, I realized that he was walking towards the station. I felt a punch to the stomach, knowing that the cops are usually there and they will find us. Thats how I was found the first time. Lucky enough it was night. Not many people saw us, and most civilians expected a hero to come and help us. Humans are bystanders, I knew that. Its always been like that.

They wont call the police... I kept repeating to myself as I waited for the train to arrive. The boy was sitting on a bench, a bit further away from me. I observed him. He put his head on his knees and his hands on his ears, pressing them close. I silently decided to sit a bit closer, just to have a better look. The boy's clothes are burned like mine. He didnt seem to have any wounds from today's incident though. So he doesn't get burned...? I thought for a moment. No... they told me he got in an accident with his quirk, burning himself... thats why he was in a coma in the first place. The scars of his accident were very visible. He might not have gotten a lot of wounds from today, but he had some very big and dark scars. Burned old skin on the jaw, a bit under his eyes, a lot of burned skin on his neck... It must have been a really hot and dangerous fire for him to end up beeing burned like that. I was sad, maybe even felt some pity towards him. My eyes lit up as I heard the high pitched screetching sound of the train arriving. We waited for it to arrive for almost 20 minutes. The boy stood up and entered the train, I came after him. The wagon was empty. There wasn't a single soul, all of the seats free to sit on. The boy sat right next to the door. I walked a bit away distancing myself from him. I sat somewhere in the middle. I didn't know where this goes. I was wondering whether he himself had an idea where to go. Finally, the train started going and I leant my head against the window. My eyes follow the landscape, which was slightly shining because of the rain and the moonlight. I saw the trees swaying in the wind and some plain fields. The view was very calming and it felt like it was lulling me to sleep, but I kept awake since I couldn't lose track of him. I glanced over the seats towards him, checking how he was doing from time to time. The boy rested his head back and held his eyes closed. He had a lot of dirt on his face and there were traces of tears on his cheek which was slighlty red in the contrast of the pale color on his skin. He must have been very shocked... maybe he is also a bit sick now...

I cant remember how long we have been in the train. It was definitely a very long ride, since I kept battling my exhaustement in order to stay awake. The boy woke up, the sun was already starting to rise. In the wagon there has been only a few people, most ignored the both of us, some were homeless drugs addicts, who were just as lost as we were. The boy rubbed his eyes and took a look around him. I quickly looked away, staring back outside admiring the sun coming up from behind a mountain. I look up towards the screen to see where we were. The next station would be Yokohama. I have never been in Yokohama, but I knew that it's a big city. The young man stood up and got out of the train. I got out too and then quietly followed him in the station. The station wasn't empty at all, there was quiet a few people there, probably on a business trip or early to work, some might even return from their nightshift. My footsteps were heavy and I could barely keep on track with the boy since I didnt sleep at all. A little bit more far away, somewhere near the ticket kiosk, I saw some guards standing there. I have to be more careful... we're in a big city, there is more dangers and especially more bulls. I thought, when I saw them taking a look to see if there was any shady person walking free. In this case it would be me and the boy, so we better hurry before they would find us... The boy noticed the cops and started walking faster, vanishing behind a wall. I quickly joined him. He looked around, looking at the screens and indications to figure out how to get out of the station. We were a bit lost for some time, until we finally found some stairs to go outside. The boy immediately ran towards them and I ran after him. Although my muscles were screaming to not to run, I couldn't help but continue. Finally we got outside. The sun was now already rosen and there was a lot of pigeons in the street getting fed by elders. Being a pigeon is kinda like being an orphan... most people see you as something dirty and dangerous, but only a few allow themselves to get to know you and be nice. I kinda wished to be one of those fed pigeons right now, instead of a runaway kid.
