Toya looked back in the mirror. His demeanor changed. It was almost as if he was a completely different person. With disgust, he stared at himself. Although I couldn't see it, I swear I could see his mind working and processing information like a mad machine.

"Toya?"

He snapped angrily at me, almost growling:

"Don't call me that worthless, forgotten name."

Surprised, my eyes widened and I took a tiny step back. Confused, I looked up and down at him, my eyes lingering at his gaze. I raised a brow.

"What?"

Toya closed his eyes for a moment. His eyelids were twitching; he took a full and deep breath.

"I... I don't want to be called that. Toya doesn't exist. He's as good as dead to me." He said, his voice firm.

Unsure how to react to this, I opened my mouth to say something, but he interrupted me right before I could talk:

"I'm not Toya."

My mouth closed shut. Who are you then..?  This was almost unbelievable, way too unexpected, though it was somewhat understandable.

"Do you want to change your name?"

He shrugged his shoulders.

"I mean... how, how am I supposed to call you then..?" I whispered.

In my mind I was already thinking for new names for him. What could fit him? Burny? No, too childish... I kept on thinking. Icy fire? That's even worse Y/N, it doesn't even fit- My eyebrows felt tense, as I was fully concentrated on trying to find a suitable name. Phoenix? It's like he's reborn... also makes sense, because he got burned  and got "reborn" from his ashes...
Bit unsure of this idea, I shyly proposed my idea for his name to him.

"How about Phoenix?"

The boy raised an eyebrow and looked at me, thinking about whether this could suit him.

"Why Phoenix?" He asked.

"Well... Phoenixes are reborn by their ashes. And you technically were also reborn from ashes."

After listening to my explanation his eyes seemed to turn into an amused expression.

"I like it, definitely more than whatever they called me at the orphanage..."

The boy seemed to be considering to take this as a name.

But then he shook his head.

"I don't know, I dont think it's... I don't know, it doesn't feel right, you know?"

I nod my head.

The boy sighed: "How about we think about this later, I am sure we'll find something... Until then you can still call me Toya."

"Okay ashboy." I chuckled smiling.

He let out a scoff, and his lips curled up a bit amused.

"Can I ask you something?"

At his questions my face lit up, curious to know what he wanted to know. I nod my head as an answer. Toyas eyes clenched a bit together, as if he was thinking about whatever he was wondering about.

"So like, you steal with your quirk, right?"

For a moment I was a bit confused, not sure whether I understood it right. Why does he think my quirk is stealing??
