A few days after that night, I had the ability to go get the food instead, and I was able to move around as much as I wanted. The pain was nearly gone, and now that I was healed we definitely won't starve ourselves. Toya started to slowly get more used to the fact that he wasn't living alone. It's been three weeks now, and he stopped being all so skeptical and suspicous about me.
I was outside, watching the clouds in the sky. The air was thick and filthy in the neighbourhood, not a single soul passed by besides some homeless people and drugs addicts, asking for money. The sun was shining brightly, burning into my skin as I looked up to the sky. From time to time the shapes of the clouds started changing, the clouds movements beeing caused by the wind that was blowing. Toya was inside. He didn't feel well, not mentally. Sometimes he kept on repeating to himself things. He would get really angry and mad out of nowhere, probably thinking about something. I've been outside for quite a while, and I didn't hear anything from inside the house. I sighed heavily, getting up, forcing my tired limbs to move as I went to check on him. I searched around the house, remembering his favorite spots. He's most definitely somewhere in the rooms in the back... I thought to myself, walking towards one of the bedrooms. I opened the door and there he was. He was standing infront of a mirror, staring at himself. It was like he was in a trance. For the past few days he didn't shower, and he didn't eat as much; his appetite was gone. I could see in his appearance that he was going through a rough time. I would always try to help him get his energy, at least eat. Toya looked down at himself, at his hands. There were orange flames dancing around them.
"Hey there." I said.
"Hey."
Toya's flame grew bigger. Scared, I took a step inside the room, hoping he wouldn't set our house on fire.
"Toya, please don't do that in here..."
But he didn't listen. He ignored me, fully concentrated on his fire.
"What exactly are you trying to do?" I asked.
"Training," was his answer.
Confused, I tilted my head to the side and raised an eyebrow.
"What for?" I asked.
The boy waited for some time. He closed his eyes tight, frowning. Suddenly, the fire changed color. It went from a bright orange to a bright, glowy blue. The heat of the fire got much hotter, more dangerous than before. I took a step back, careful to not get caught in it. Satisfied, Toya opened his eyes and observed what he just achieved. I admired his fire, the beauty of it was captivating, making me forget what I came here for.
The flame stopped. I cleared my train of thought and shook my head a little, before I asked him again my question. Toya looked at me, thinking of a good response.
"I'm training... To prove myself to him" He said.
"Your father?" I asked.
Toya nodded his head, glaring back at himself in the mirror.
"Yeah... I'll show him that I am stronger than... stronger than his stupid masterpiece, stronger than himself even." He said, a hint of anger in his voice.
Then suddenly I remembered what the man in the computer display said at the orphanage. But... isn't he... supposed to die...soon? The realisation hit me like a punch in the face. I looked at him, not sure how to ask him about it.
"Toya.." I began speaking. "Do you... remember what the man at the orphanage said?"
Toya's eyes darkened. I wasn't sure what exactly that meant, I couldn't determine his exact emotion from his face. But the aura around him felt menacing, as if it was about to strangle me to death. He didn't break eyecontact with himself in the mirror as he spoke:
"I don't care. All that matters is that I am alive now."
I hesitated, knowing this must be a difficult situation for him.
"But... the doctors said... You won't stay alive for long..."
I paused for a second, trying to find the words for what I was going to say next. "You know, isn't it kind of... pointless?"
I couldn't speak out my last thought out loud. Isn't it pointless if you're going to die?
Toya's eye contact in the mirror snapped, and he looked at me instead.
"I am aware. But simply because my body is a rotting corpse doesn't mean my mind will give up,"
He said, confident of what he was saying.
"I'll live, as long as he does."
I couldn't stand the idea that maybe he was wrong. We started to get to know eachother recently, he can't die just yet. I have to hope. I have to keep him strong. I'll support him no matter what occurs.

Okay I guess, I dont like winking tbh.
Probably because I associate it with flirting and I dont like flirting...
According to some people I am flirty- what they dont know is that I am autistic and I have no idea how to get social clues and shit, and apparentely that has a certain *charme* *magical glitter falls to the ground hihi* *transforms into a fairy and flies away cutely*
