"Your Majesty, according to the system's measurements, the Bronze Immortal Palace is nearby," the voice of the Celestial Book Spirit announced.
Zhou Yi had just emerged from a rocky ravine when he heard the prompt. A wave of excitement surged through him. After days of aimlessly searching the area, he had finally found a clue about the Bronze Immortal Palace. Relieved, he followed the directions given by the Celestial Book Spirit.
After a while, Zhou Yi found himself standing in front of a small mountain, at the base of which was a clear spring.
"Is it below this spring?" Zhou Yi furrowed his brow. If the palace was indeed beneath the water, he would have to dig a hole to get there.
"Your Majesty, through this spring, you can enter an underground river. Follow the river for about ten miles, and you will reach the Bronze Immortal Palace."
"In that case, I'll just have to dig." Zhou Yi retrieved his short sword, and with sword energy swirling around it, he plunged it into the spring. The sword energy slashed through the water, creating a large opening. Cold water from the underground river gushed out.
Shrouded in divine light, Zhou Yi dove into the opening and submerged into the icy underground river. He followed the river downstream.
With a splash, Zhou Yi emerged into a vast underground lake. His radiant divine light formed a protective barrier, keeping the water at bay. As he reached the lakebed, the glow of his light revealed a magnificent bronze palace ahead.
"I've found it," Zhou Yi murmured, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "This must be the Bronze Immortal Palace."
His pace quickened as he hurried towards the palace, creating swirling currents in his wake.
Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, Zhou Yi saw a figure flash past.
"Who's there?" Startled, he turned and readied his short sword.
But when he got a clearer look, he saw it was just a floating corpse.
"Only a corpse," Zhou Yi sighed in relief but remained on guard. The presence of corpses suggested danger.
As Zhou Yi cautiously advanced, he saw more and more corpses. His vigilance heightened with each step.
Finally, he reached the entrance of the Bronze Immortal Palace without incident.
"Phew!" Zhou Yi exhaled, staring at the palace. He felt an eerie, unsettling aura emanating from it.
"Zhou Yi made it here without encountering any danger?" Through the system link, Li Yu had been monitoring Zhou Yi's progress, relieved that he had reached the palace unscathed.
"In the original story, the emergence of the Bronze Immortal Palace resulted in countless deaths and rivers of blood!" Li Yu thought, realizing the source of the discrepancy. In the original story, the carnage occurred because people ventured into the palace.
Inside the Bronze Immortal Palace, whether it was the chaos energy, the yin-yang energy, or the myriad doors, all held lethal threats.
"Wait!" Li Yu's face turned pale. "This palace has an owner! If I take the Bronze Immortal Palace, won't I get killed?"
As Li Yu pondered the potential danger, Zhou Yi was already making his move.
"Celestial Book Spirit, what should I do next?" Zhou Yi asked, staring at the Bronze Immortal Palace.
Li Yu quickly made a decision. "Celestial Book Spirit, instruct him to collect the Primordial Qi first."
Following Li Yu's command, the Celestial Book Spirit guided Zhou Yi to move closer to the lake's surface.
Above the lake, a layer of dark clouds seemed to loom.
As Zhou Yi approached, a massive pressure bore down on him. It felt as if a mountain was pressing on him. Zhou Yi grunted, his divine light flaring, and his bones creaking under the strain.
"Such immense pressure!" Zhou Yi struggled to breathe, but he persisted.
The pressure felt like gravity suddenly multiplied by dozens or hundreds of times. Zhou Yi knew that if he continued, his body might break apart.
"Celestial Book Spirit, how can I collect the Primordial Qi? Do I need to get closer?" Zhou Yi glanced at the oppressive dark clouds above, his lips twitching.
"Your Majesty, you are already within range to collect the Primordial Qi. However, it will take some time. Please endure."
"Hurry up then!" Zhou Yi barked, barely holding on under the immense pressure.
"Begin collection!" Li Yu ordered simultaneously.
An invisible force began swirling above Zhou Yi's head, forming a massive vortex that drew in the dark clouds.
"Is this the Primordial Qi collection? Good! Collect more! I can still hold on!" Zhou Yi, seeing the scene above, was energized by the thought of using Primordial Qi to forge an Emperor Weapon.
"Still holding on?" Li Yu chuckled. "Even if you can't, you must! I won't stop until all the Primordial Qi is collected!"
"System, increase the collection speed of the Primordial Qi. Celestial Book Spirit, if Zhou Yi can't hold on, let him exchange for more divine springs to repair his body. Give him enough to keep him going longer."
Following Li Yu's orders, the collection speed increased. As the Primordial Qi accumulated in the resource library, Li Yu nodded in satisfaction.
"By linking the system to the Celestial Book Spirit, I can collect Primordial Qi without being there myself. It's just as effective but much safer."
Li Yu smiled. "Looks like I won't need to get my hands dirty often in the future."
As the Primordial Qi in the resource library grew, Li Yu's smile widened.
"Celestial Book Spirit, how much longer?" Zhou Yi had consumed the divine spring over ten times. Without it, his body would have shattered.
"Just a little longer, Your Majesty."
"Hurry up!" Zhou Yi's body was numb with pain, but he gritted his teeth and held on.
Time passed, the Primordial Qi collection increased, and Zhou Yi felt the pressure easing. Eventually, he felt a surge of relief as the pressure vanished.
"Your Majesty, the Primordial Qi collection is complete!"
"It's done? Haha, wonderful!" Zhou Yi laughed, overwhelmed with joy at the Celestial Book Spirit's announcement.
