"East Mountain? Trying to lure me over there?" Li Yu glanced toward East Mountain, smiled, and turned back to the small shop. "Even if I'm going, I'll finish my meal first."

Just as he was about to step inside, a notification from the system made him pause.

"Received resources submitted by Taishang Heavenly Book host. Store in resource library?"

"Huh? Looks like Zhou Yi found something. Store it all in the resource library."

Opening the resource library, he saw the newly added beast corpses and some medicinal herbs. Li Yu smiled. "Already started leveling up by fighting monsters. Looks like he'll grow quickly. Good."

Satisfied, Li Yu nodded. Zhou Yi's contributions had been minimal so far, offering Li Yu little benefit. But he knew it was a long-term investment. He could only stay in this world for a year. No matter how much he scavenged, there was a limit to what he could gather. But Zhou Yi was different. As long as he kept growing, he could continuously provide resources.

While short-term benefits were lacking, the long-term prospects were promising.

Returning to the small shop, Old Man Jiang immediately inquired, "Benefactor, what happened?"

"Nothing much. Someone was injured, and I helped him out," Li Yu replied with a smile as he sat down at the table. "Old man, can you stop calling me benefactor? My name is Li Yu. Just call me by my name."

"That wouldn't be proper..."

"Stop!"

Seeing Old Man Jiang still hesitating, Li Yu quickly interrupted, "Just call me Yu."

"Brother Yu," Tingting chimed in, smiling as she handed a dish to Li Yu. "Brother Yu, eat this."

"Little Tingting is the best," Li Yu said, taking the dish and patting her head. A subtle, almost imperceptible light entered Tingting's body.

After finishing their meal, Li Yu turned to Old Man Jiang. "Old man, I need to go out for a while. Close the shop for today and stay home to take care of Tingting."

With a slight movement of his finger, another bit of light settled into Old Man Jiang.

Leaving the shop, Li Yu glanced toward East Mountain and then took off in a flash of light.

The light streaked across the sky, and soon Li Yu landed on the peak of East Mountain.

"So this is the place?"

Li Yu looked around. It seemed like an ordinary mountain, unremarkable and devoid of anything special.

"What could the Li family have planned? An ambush? They think they can just take me out?"

Li Yu chuckled, casually brushing his waist and lightly flicking the "Soul Shaking Bell" hanging there.

"Ding!"

A faint, pleasant chime rang out, as if a gentle wind chime had been rung.

An invisible wave spread out with the sound, like ripples in water, expanding outward.

This was a divine ability contained within the Soul Shaking Bell called "Startling Spirit." The sound triggered deep-seated fears, making the target's heart tremble and scaring their soul.

This ability targeted the mind, causing greater fear in those with complex thoughts. Instinct-driven beasts, however, were largely unaffected.

Using the Startling Spirit sound, Li Yu wanted to check for any hidden ambushers.

"No ambush?"

The Startling Spirit sound swept the area, revealing no movement. This surprised Li Yu. "Not using such simple tricks? I guess I underestimated the Li family."

"But... no matter the tricks, they're useless against me."

Li Yu smiled, taking a few steps around the peak. Suddenly, he had a thought. If there might be a source mine here, why not look for it? After all, he had nothing better to do.

"System, scan the area for source mines."

If there was a chance of a source mine, it was worth spending some energy to scan. Who knows, he might hit the jackpot.

"Micro source mine detected."

As expected, the system quickly displayed the source mine's location in Li Yu's mind.

"There really is one!"

Seeing the source mine displayed in his mind, Li Yu smiled. "Though small, it's still worth the effort."

The source mine was small, covering less than five hundred meters, with only one concentrated area about ten meters wide.

Walking to the concentrated area, Li Yu activated the resource recovery function. With a wave of his hand, the ground's rocks, soil, plants, and the buried source mine were all absorbed into the system's resource library.

Soon, a large pit appeared where the source mine had been, leaving only a few scattered remains.

"No point in collecting the scattered bits. Too little, not worth the time."

Stomping his foot, he used his immense strength to collapse the pit, burying it once more.

"Hmm? Found a source stone with one stomp? Interesting."

His stomp had uncovered a fist-sized amber crystal.

"So this is a source stone?"

Li Yu picked up the source stone, admiring its amber glow and the powerful, pure energy within.

"No wonder it's the essence of life. Impressive!"

Holding the source stone, Li Yu marveled at its brilliance, more dazzling than any gem.

"Thief, how dare you!"

"Scoundrel, put down the source stone!"

"Damn you, stealing our source stone?"

"Get him! Kill him!"

Angry shouts came from behind him. Then, a series of lights shot toward him, various weapons aimed at his head.

"Hmm? So aggressive? No chance for words, just straight to the kill?"

Li Yu turned, seeing several men flying toward him, weapons gleaming as they attacked.

Frowning, Li Yu felt his anger rise.

These men were the Li family's backup? So aggressive, not even giving a chance to speak before attacking. Ruthless indeed.

But... what use is it?

"You're courting death!"

Li Yu sneered, lightly flicking the "Soul Shaking Bell" at his waist.

"Dong..."

This time, it wasn't a gentle chime but a powerful toll.

The deep, resonant sound echoed to the heavens, shaking the earth and sky.

A violent shockwave radiated outward.

Flowers, trees, rocks—all were pulverized in its path. Anything in the way of the sound wave was shattered to dust.

Including the attacking men.

"Petty fools, so aggressive and arrogant, truly courting death."

Li Yu snorted, sweeping away the dust with a flick of his sleeve.
