I thought if I made the headcanons now the whole story will make sense from what it comes from,here's a short(long) story of how I started.

It was a nice day around the last few days of march,I was researching some videos of smiling critters until I came across one that caught my interest, at the start it was with catnap,he was like the usual skinny skinny one that showed his bones and didn't talk much except to dogday.The plot was that it was different and the smiling critters lived in this big house taking care of kids through activities and gave them dinner at the end and the smiling critters also helped the kids with everything,although catnap stayed in his room which he shared with dogday because kids were afraid of him. He barely ate either because Pickypiggy didn't allow him as much.So dogday talks with catnap and was like 'hey why not go to dinner?' And dogday finally gets catnap to go to dinner,as they were eating,pickypiggy was giving out treats for everyone including the critters,as catnap asks for one picky denies,it a disrespectful way in front of the critters which catches dogdays attention.she starts off saying 'Why would I give one to you? All you do is sleep,I'm not gonna waste my time doing something because I actually do chores and everything while you're the only lazy one here.' She then throws his food at him(it was hot soup) and says 'Oopsies' which was actually said she did it on purpose.After shown that catnap had a short temper and almost goes at her before Dogday stops him telling him to calm down which catnap replies.'so you're on her side?' Right after before Dogday could say anything he had ran off and Dogday talks with him in their dorm and apologizes which catnap doesn't blame him and says he'll never go to dinner again or eat.They then sleep together(friendly) at the end.
When I watched this around the time I was talking with Ozzi in discord saying 'hey what if I started a smiling critters book?'
'Oh really?'
Most of context which I came to this conclusion to the book,I was skeptical if the plot would make sense or not that the smiling critters were having a picnic then came across a noise finding these new critters they have never seen.In which Dogday only noticed one of them from leader ship.The rest of the critters are skeptical of taking them all in since it's a lot but decided on it after.If wonders that their dorms were already built just never broken down after their leaves.After a while I decided to change my style of writing and become creative.I found these new characters made by creators and decided to make a story out of them and be useful of them in a story. After I saw how popular it has gotten I started continuing and going and going and never wanted to stop.Thanks to you all for supporting me<3

☆Headcanons and facts☆ by me hehe

1.Candy cat is a !boy! Across facts his name was just made the way it was because of sugary personality and his actions in playtime.

2. Yes candy cat and dreamy doggy are in a type of love relationship, it is mostly thought as a one-sided relationship with both of them though.

3.Catnap barely talks throughout this book because he's MUTE well he decides to be and only talks a few times but it's mostly to dogday. So I would rather say sign language a lot of him.Though he'll talk a few times in extras.

4.Dogday is pansexual in this book so he will be flattered or embarrassed by the smallest romance type of thing.

5.I honestly don't know how to explain the Dogday and catnap relationship, in the main story they are seen as super best friends but most critters think they're dating or smt. They do share small moments in extras like small kisses in their characters but it's seen as a friends with friendly benefits thing.

6.In this case they live in this big mansion thing with the dorms and showers and whatever.

7.They are redesigned versions(all critters),so the main base are the photos on the bottom but you can think whatever how they look like for their redesign or just like that.

8.The critters are all oblivious and naive about their past in Playtime co. So they don't know about player or poppy yet.it will happen at some point though.

9.They at some point do know who their human self's were but it would be apart of extras.

10.The main 8 smiling critters are self aware of why they took all the other critters in but it's a secret😛
