He was turned into a monster.

Stepping out from the brush was a taller, more rotted version of Argus. Half of his canine skull was exposed for the moonlight to illuminate.

The zombie lacked his limp and pitiful stance and stood tall instead. He loomed over the brush around him, a wave of stink and green fog emanating from his disgusting body. It smelt like a rotting corpse that's been burnt and buried a thousand times over.

Maggots writhed between exposed bone and dug further into the decaying flesh. Two white maggots fell from the top of his maw. His jaw was nonexistent.

When Selene gazed at him, she knew Argus was barely there anymore.

What was left of Argus was trembling and yowling in the depths of his curse. The longer she looked at Argus, the more she remembered about her sister's wicked abilities.

Argus was cursed to become a Udeiú, otherwise known as the incubator for a Udeiú. A creature birthed to be a slave for a witch.

"You poor child," Selene held a hand to her heart, "Your wickedness led to this... abomination."

Ullr ground his teeth and stepped forward- but Selene quickly put an arm out across his torso to stop him. They made eye contact, "Please, Udeiú are powerful."

His brows raised, and he gazed at Argus knowingly, "Udeiú..." He whispered.

It was no wonder Ullr got hurt in his altercations with Argus during the incubation period. Now that he's fully transformed, there's no telling what he can do. He had the strength of a god with no pain or morals to stop him.

Luna snarled and snapped her jaws at the creature.

Growing agitated, it yowled like a monster from the depths of hell. Through its roars of rage, Selene could hear Argus' faint words behind them.

AiDeZ-mOi.

CeLa FaIt MaL.

AiDeZ-mOi. AiDeZ-mOi.

A witch easily fooled him with all the charisma in the world.

Luna charged it and slammed her body into the Udeiú when it began to hurl forward. Or, what's left of Argus.

Stumbling back, the creature grabbed Luna by the legs and slung her off his body. She yowled as she was thrown at a tree, hitting its wooden body. Leaves ruffled with the weakest slowly falling to the forest floor.

Selene clenched her fists as she watched Luna get flung. She whipped her head at the Udeiú.

"I did my best to be nice and understanding!" she exploded. "I tried to soothe you, I tried to communicate—but you were TOO. STUBBORN!"
