"REGARDING the people?" Chairman Sakayanagi queried, his demeanor calm and composed. It seemed as though my father was attempting to unsettle him.

"There are, undoubtedly, a diverse range of students admitted to this high school. Some hail from challenging backgrounds, others from affluent families, and then there are those ordinary students who possess a unique talent," the man mused.

I wasn't sure where he was heading with this.

"Even one that had specialized training," he added, his tone hinting at something deeper.

Then it dawned on me.

There was no way he could've known.

And yet, if Sakayanagi Arisu, who likely gleaned this information from her father, was aware of this, then my father likely knew too. After all, both were entrenched in the political world.

"I'm not certain I follow," Chairman Sakayanagi responded, his tone neutral.

"You accepted a 16-year-old boy with similar background as Kiyotaka into this school, have you not?"

The man quickly and thoroughly looked at my face. I showed no expression.

"...I'd thought this information would've made some reaction. Did you perhaps already know of this?" the man asked me.

"Whatever you like to think."

"So you know," He concluded.

"Kiyotaka-kun, how did you know?" Chairman Sakayanagi asked me.

"You already know of the answer."

"Indeed I do," Chairman Sakayanagi sighed. "I suppose since it's Kiyotaka, it'll be okay."

The man didn't say anything, he sat there, silently glaring as us before he spoke.

"Looks like I hit bullseye. You do know," the man continued. "Shinjiro Akabane, I believe that was the boy's name."

I kept quiet, where was he going with this?

"He's from the facility created by Kijima. I've learned of this information a while back, so I know it's true."

"...Yes yes, you're right," Sakayanagi gave in.

"Well, it appeared as if Kijima here is using the facility as a way to make the children enter Advanced Nurturing High School. Almost as if the facility were 'elementary and junior high' in terms of time periods in order for them to enter this school. That information of only one child being sent here is a lie. You probably told other people this lie too, probably by Kijima himself."

"You're suggesting that there may be more here?" Chairman Sakayanagi asked.

"Maybe, maybe not. All I know is that from now on, there'll be more coming in this school. I'll be sure to use that information greatly." He said while looking at me.

More of them coming here huh? I'll have to defend myself if anything rash happens between them and me.

The facility that Shinjiro was in has made it so that the children there would enter this school. That seem to be somewhat of an ulterior motive.

If it was proved that ANHS were accepting a portion of students because they came from a facility or 'school' under Prime Minister Kijima, it would certainly seem like they were doing favoritism. That would hurt Kijima's reputation a bit, well surrounding the school at least.

Prime Minister Kijima was the one who created the school, but he's not in charge of it. Sakayanagi is the chairman of the school.

"Could it be that that is not the case?" the man rhetorically asked.
