"YOU'RE kind of good on Chess.com. How come you have such a low ELO rating, Ayanokouji?"
"I'm not that good so I don't use this site all that much. Though I'd prefer to play outside an electronic screen."
You're not going to like the Event Selection Exam.
I was playing some good ol' chess with Ayanokouji. We've played 10 rounds so far, with us switching between black and white.
"You tend to use the same gambit every now and then, you should shake it up a bit. Your opponents would catch on," He advised me.
"I know."
"Another round?"
"No," I replied, feeling a bit drained from the intense focus the games required. We were using a computer to play chess while we were on a phone call. I wasn't really a big fan of phone calls so sometimes there were awkward moments of silence. The silence between us now was comfortable, though.
"I-"
Ayanokouji was interrupted by a series of buzzes.
"Um... Must be from the first floor, it's probably not the ones I'm too close with," he speculated. "Are you leaving the call?"
"Don't worry, I'll mute. If I leave the call, then it's because I have some things to do or it's for your privacy," I responded quickly, not wanting to intrude on his privacy.
I muted my phone and listened onto what was happening.
"I'd like a moment of your time. Or should I come back later?" I heard a familiar and stern voice.
"Nah, now's a good time," Ayanokouji affirmed.
It was Manabu who was visiting Ayanokouji.
'It's probably that thing, huh?'
"I'm presuming it's something important he'll talk about, so I'll be leaving the call," I stated.
"It's likely he'll probably visit you soon if he's visiting me. He has his eyes on us. It's probably about the new student council president."
Ah, Nagumo Miyabi. In all honesty, I was pretty nervous. If he were to come after me, I'll lose big time. Even if I've gone through my first and currently my second semester of my first school year, it's not a guarantee that it'll stay like this forever.
"I see. Well, if somebody buzzes, I'll presume it's him. I'll go nap now." I said as I hung up the call.
It was time for me to get to napping.

Nap!
I stretched and got off the floor where I had somehow rolled over from my bed. For some reason, I couldn't quite remember how I ended up there. I got up from the floor and rubbed my eyes to get rid of the crusts.
"I must've slept for a bit," I muttered to myself, feeling the grogginess slowly fade away.
Instinctively, I checked my phone and saw a multitude of messages from Ayanokouji. It looked to be about Manabu wanting to visit me.
I also noticed two missed calls from Manabu. He must have guessed I was busy and stopped trying, but he left a text message:
