Chapter 15: Love

After learning that, Jennie immediately went back home and ran into her room to scream into her pillow as she realized her feelings. She was happy that she fell for Lisa, and sure, she did try dating, but those were guys. She only realized she liked girls after graduating and couldn't date because of her job, but now she has the chance too, and she started thinking of a way to confess. Meanwhile, Jisoo was pleased to know the events and told Bo-Hyun, "So, what are you going to do next?" he asked as they lay on the couch cuddling. "Well, I'm not going to push them to confess; they'll do it on their own," Jisoo told him as she took a bite of the strawberry that he was feeding her. "You're enjoying this way too much," he says as he takes a bite of the strawberry that Jiso fed him. "Yeah, because this can be used as a good plot in my next story," she replied to him, making him laugh. "And plus, I want to see them finally happy too," she added. Bo-Hyun agreed with her, and after that, they decided to watch a movie together.

Jennie wasn't able to sleep that much after her realization, so she decided to just drink an energy drink as she had work, and then decided to eat and as she ate breakfast, she saw Jisoo enter the house. "It seems you had fun," she teased Jisoo, who blushed. "Me and Bo-Hyun didn't do anything," Jisoo said, denying it with a blush on her face, making Jennie chuckle. "But you spent the night?" She said, "Yeah, but as said, we didn't do anything; he decided to sleep on the couch instead." Jisoo argued back, "How sweet of him." Jennie said as she looked down from her yogurt, "so what are you going to do next since you learned that you like Lisa?" Jisoo asked Jennie, who looked up, "Well, I need to know my next move first, and I need to know if Lisa likes me back. Jennie responded, "You can tell if you'd notice." Jisoo mutters, "huh?" Jennie says, confused, wanting to hear what she said, "Nothing." Jisoo immediately says, then looks at the clock, "You're going to be late." She reminds Jennie, who immediately stands up, fixes herself, and starts walking. "Oh, and you can have my yogurt." She tells Jisoo who immediately takes the yogurt as she watches her leave the house.

It was the usual slow day for the workers in the café, and there are things Jennie has noticed, like that Lisa is very pretty; she loves her voice whenever she speaks Thai and Korean; her adorable smile; how sweet, kind, caring, and considerate she is; her love for her babies; and everything else she has noticed and thought about that makes her fall more in love. Her thoughts were then interrupted by someone getting her attention, and she saw that it was Lisa, and she blushed, "What got you thinking?" Lisa asked, "Oh, just something that happened today." She said, trying to calm herself, What happened this morning? Much to Lisa's amusement, and Jennie loved how Lisa would always listen to her stories and appreciated it; it made her happy.

Meanwhile, Lisa was curious about why Jennie is currently like this, and Lisa thought she looked cute explaining what happened this morning with Jisoo, and then she heard a question she did not expect: "Hey Lisa, do you like girls?" was what Jennie asked, catching Lisa off guard. When Lisa saw that Jennie was about to change the subject, "Yeah, I like girls. Why do you want to know?" she replied, "Well, I was just curious that we never got to talk about it and stuff." Was Jennie's response, "Oh well, how about you?" Lisa asked the same question, "Well, I thought I liked guys my whole life, but it turns out I also like girls too, and I realized that late." Jennie admitted to Lisa, who nodded, "So, have you ever tried to date?" was Lisa's next question. "I tried to go on dates, but I was so busy with my job that I wasn't able to," Jennie explains. "Say Jennie, what's your type of person? What was Lisa's next question.

Hearing that surprised Jennie, but she decided to say it anyway. "I don't technically have a type, but I have standards when I date a person," Jennie told Lisa, who was interested in wanting to know her standards and hoping she could be that person. "When someone walks slowly to match my pace because I'm wearing heels, when someone blocks the sunlight for me with their hand on a sunny day, when someone takes off their coat for me to wear because it's cold out, when someone remembers something I have mentioned in the past and does it for me, when someone listens carefully to what I say, someone who'll protect me, and someone dependable," Jennie says, finishing her explanation. "Wow, you have big standards, like the type of person I want is a sexy and cute person who is kindhearted and can cook," Lisa jokingly responds, making Jennie laugh. "My standards are like that because of K-dramas, and I've dated shitty men; that's why they're like that," she reasoned out. "I can treat you better than then," Lisa muttered. "Uh, what? "Jennie said, and before Lisa could say anything, a couple of customers arrived, and Lisa silently thanked them for interrupting Jennie's curiosity.

Weeks have passed, and the two have been following the standards and types of what each other has said, like Jennie has been cooking food for Lisa as she found out that Lisa is either buying food or eating ramen and decided to cook food, and Lisa loved her cooking so much and was happy to receive food from it, which amused everyone since Lisa would normally refuse food from people since she didn't want to bother, but here she is requesting and accepting the food Jennie makes. And plus, for Lisa, Jennie is both sexy and cute and a kindhearted person already, so it makes Lisa very happy. And what makes Jennie fall for Lisa more is how she acts towards her and how she is literally fitting all of the standards she made, making her blush whenever Lisa does those things for her. She thought that she should probably confess during the festival, as it was near anyway.

And a few days later, it was the festival, and everyone was excited, especially Jennie, as this would be the first time she celebrated a festival. She had fun eating, watching contests with friends, playing fair games, and everything else, and it was fun looking around the fair with Lisa since Jisoo decided to go with Bo-Hyun. Then it was evening, which was the festival fair dance, and Lisa and Jennie decided to join in the fun. Being with each other made them happy, and at this point, Lisa couldn't help it anymore. "Jennie, I want to tell you something," Lisa says as she twirls her around." What is it, Lili?" Jennie says, using the nickname she gave to Lisa and the only one who can call her, "these past months you have made me the happiest person, and it was great to get to know you more, but I don't want to be friends with you." Lisa explained, and Jennie's heart was beating hearing what Lisa was saying. "Is this it?" She thought to herself. "Because I want you to be my girlfriend. I'm in love with you, Nini." Lisa was able to confess using the nickname she can only call Jennie.

After confessing, Lisa looked at Jennie and noticed she was quiet. She panicked a bit and thought Jennie might reject her, but then she saw Jennie's adorable gummy smile. "Well, that's great because I feel the same thing towards you too," she tells Lisa, whose eyes widened. "You mean..." Lisa didn't complete her sentence as Jennie hugged her. "I love you too, Lisa, and I want to be your girlfriend also," Jennie tells Lisa, who smiles at her happily, and they were a bit shocked when everyone started cheering for them, seeing that they laughed and looked at one another once again. Want to go on a date tomorrow?" She asks Jennie, "Isn't this a date already?" Jennie responds, making Lisa chuckle. "I want to take you on a proper date, if that's alright?" She tells Jennie, who nods at her, and they continued to dance again, ignoring everyone else and focusing on each other.
