It has been a year since Jennie moved to the village, and she did truly enjoy her life there and decided to live there permanently. And during those months, her mom visited to see how her daughter was doing and was happy to see that she was doing well in the village. She was introduced by Lisa, and they immediately hit it off. After that, Lisa decided to introduce Jennie to her parents, and seeing her made Lisa's parents happy to see her finally happy, and that made Jennie curious about it but didn't say anything.
In their one year of dating, Jennie has noticed that Lisa doesn't entirely like her going back to Seoul, claiming she has everything here anyway, which is usually their reason when they talk about it. The only time Jennie has been to Seoul again is when she and Jisoo were invited to a college reunion, and she will admit that she did miss Seoul but prefers her life in the village and was planning to stay there with Lisa. And the one time she was able to get Lisa to go with her was during a friend's wedding. Lisa was able to impress their friends, and she knew Lisa came from a well-off family, but what made her curious was why Lisa moved to Korea. When asked, Lisa explained that she didn't want to rely on her parents money for everything, but she didn't say anything else about why she went to Korea.
But she noticed that Lisa doesn't entirely like the idea of Jennie going back to Seoul whenever they talk about it. Technically, as said, Jennie doesn't want to go back, but it's just a hypothetical question that gets an annoyed reaction, and she was curious about why but didn't want to bother her until something happened. One day she got a text from a friend inviting her on something that'll make her stay in Seoul for a while. She thought about it for a moment and decided to talk to Lisa on that topic during dinner, and there she ended up getting into an argument with Lisa, who tells her to just text that friend saying that she's busy and can't come. But Jennie argues that she can't say no to her friend who's been with her and says that she'll come back anyways. She tells Lisa there's nothing to worry about, but Lisa's next words hurt her.
She saw how Lisa looked at her in anger. "Yeah, ok, fine, go to your friend in Seoul, and once you are there, you're going to realize that you still love it there and leave the village and me since I'm just probably a fling to you anyways," Lisa said with anger, and hearing that hurt Jennie. "Am I that shallow for you to think that I'll leave you because of that?" she says with tears in her eyes. Lisa's expressions changed to regret after she said that, and before she could say anything else, Jennie left the house, slamming the door, and all Lisa could do was watch her. "Fuck" was the only thing she was able to say, knowing she had fucked up.
