Evan, once a thief, had turned over a new leaf in Mondstadt. His past, filled with cunning heists and daring escapes, seemed like a distant memory as he embraced his new life as a citizen. The people of Mondstadt, initially wary of the former thief, soon began to see him in a different light. They admired his resourcefulness, his unwavering commitment to justice, and the way he stood up for the vulnerable. Mondstadt, a city known for its freedom and the gentle protection of the Anemo Archon, had opened its heart to Evan after he help fight off the threat that loomed over the city. His strategic mind and unparalleled agility were instrumental in protecting Mondstadt, and this act of bravery earned him the respect and admiration of its inhabitants. No longer was he seen as a shadowy figure lurking in the night; instead, he had become a symbol of redemption and heroism.

But it wasn't just his bravery that captured their attention. His striking appearance only added to his newfound status—his silver hair, a legacy of his mysterious heritage, and his cold, piercing blue eyes that seemed to hold untold stories, captivated everyone he encountered. Women in Mondstadt found themselves particularly entranced by his enigmatic charm and rugged good looks. His transformation was the talk of the city, and his presence at any gathering was met with admiring glances and whispers of admiration.

Despite his tumultuous past, Evan had found a place where he was not just accepted, but celebrated. He walked the cobblestone streets of Mondstadt with a newfound purpose, his once solitary life now filled with connections and a sense of belonging. His relationships with the townspeople grew deeper each day, and the women, in particular, found themselves drawn to his aura of mystery and strength. His presence was a reminder of the beauty of second chances, and his cold blue eyes, once filled with the calculating gleam of a shadow, now reflected the warmth and light of a man who had found his true calling.

Diluc stood in his headquarters office, gazing out the large window that overlooked the bustling city of Mondstadt. His sharp eyes, trained to observe even the subtlest details, were fixed on a scene unfolding below. Evan, the reformed thief turned local hero, was engaged in a conversation with three beautiful women. One of the ladies, blushing furiously, clung to Evan's muscular arm, her admiration evident in the way she looked at him. This sight brought an unusual stir of emotions in Diluc, something he couldn't quite place. As he continued to observe, the familiar sound of a door creaking open behind him broke his concentration. A familiar voice, laced with teasing, reached his ears.

"What's caught your eye so intently, dear brother?"  Kaeya's voice was both playful and curious as he stepped into Diluc's office. Diluc tensed but did not immediately turn around, his gaze still lingering on the scene outside. Kaeya, sensing the unspoken invitation, walked over to stand beside him and followed his brother's line of sight. A knowing smile spread across Kaeya's face as he saw what had captured Diluc's attention. "Ah, Evan and his admirers," Kaeya remarked with a chuckle. "He certainly has a way with the ladies, doesn't he?"  Diluc's jaw tightened, and he finally turned to face his brother, a defensive edge in his voice. "It's none of my concern who he talks to," he retorted, though his eyes betrayed a flicker of something more—irritation, perhaps, or jealousy. Kaeya's smile widened, sensing an opportunity to needle his usually stoic brother. "Are you sure about that, Diluc? You've been watching him for quite a while now. Anyone would think you're... jealous."

Diluc's expression hardened at the accusation. "Jealous? Don't be ridiculous," he snapped, turning his back on Kaeya and walking away from the window. He paced the room, a visible sign of his agitation. Kaeya followed, his demeanor relaxed but his eyes sharp with interest. "Come now, brother," Kaeya said, his tone light but probing. "It's perfectly natural to feel a bit... competitive. After all, Evan's quite the charmer, and it's not every day we see someone capturing the hearts of Mondstadt's women so effortlessly." Diluc stopped in his tracks and spun around to face Kaeya, his eyes blazing. "My concern is the safety and well-being of Mondstadt, nothing more. Evan's popularity has no bearing on my duties as its protector."

Kaeya raised an eyebrow, a slight smirk playing on his lips. "Of course, Diluc. If you say so." He walked over to the window again, glancing down at the scene below where Evan was still surrounded by the adoring women. "Still, it's interesting to see you so... affected by it."

Diluc let out a frustrated sigh, running a hand through his crimson hair. "You're imagining things, Kaeya. I have more important matters to attend to than Evan's social life." He turned away once more, this time heading towards his desk, signaling an end to the conversation. Kaeya watched his brother with an amused expression, knowing better than to push further for now. "As you wish, brother. But remember, it's okay to let your guard down once in a while. Not everything has to be a battle." With that, he gave Diluc a light pat on the shoulder and sauntered out of the office, leaving Diluc alone with his thoughts.

As the door closed behind Kaeya, Diluc found his gaze drifting back to the window. He watched as Evan laughed and charmed the women, his presence a stark contrast to Diluc's own solitary demeanor. A pang of something—perhaps envy, perhaps loneliness—tugged at his heart, but he quickly dismissed it, refocusing on the duties that lay ahead. Yet, despite his best efforts, the image of Evan surrounded by admiration lingered in his mind, a reminder of the complex emotions that even a steadfast protector like Diluc could not entirely ignore.
