As Diluc patrolled the familiar paths of Mondstadt with Evan, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Evan, usually so talkative and vibrant, was unnervingly silent, his eyes distant as if lost in some faraway place. Concerned, Diluc turned to him, his voice gentle yet probing, "Evan, is everything alright?" For the first time, ''I'm fine''. Evan's response was cold and detached, a stark contrast to his usual warmth.

Diluc's heart clenched with worry, and he stopped abruptly, reaching out to grab Evan's hand, halting his stride. "Tell me what happened," Diluc urged, his eyes searching Evan's for any hint of what had changed him so drastically. "Why are you leaving on your own to travel for hours? What are you looking for?" Evan's gaze met Diluc's, his eyes reflecting a sadness that was both profound and unsettling. But then he turned away, his voice barely above a whisper as he replied, "I don't want to talk about it right now."

Despite his urge to push for answers, to demand that Evan share his burden, Diluc decided to respect his now partners choice, to give him the space he seemed to need. The silence between them grew heavy, filled with unspoken words and shared concern. After a few moments, Evan looked back at Diluc, a spark of something different in his eyes. "Have I ever taught you how to fight?" Evan asked suddenly, catching Diluc off guard. A surprised laugh escaped Diluc as he responded, "You know very well that I know how to fight, Evan." But Evan shook his head, his expression serious. "You know how to fight with your sword, but not with your body. You need to learn to use your body to attack, not just hide behind your sword."

Diluc was momentarily taken aback by Evan's words. It was true that his fighting style relied heavily on his swordsmanship, a skill he had honed to near perfection. But the idea of using his body as a weapon was foreign to him. Still, the determination in Evan's eyes was undeniable, and despite his confusion, Diluc found himself nodding. "Alright," he agreed, "Teach me your ways of fighting." There was a glimmer of something—perhaps gratitude or relief in Evan's eyes as he began to explain the techniques he had learned, the ways he had discovered to turn his body into a weapon just as deadly as any blade.

As they trained, the physical exertion seemed to loosen the tension between them, allowing a semblance of their old companionship to return. Evan's movements were precise and fluid, his body a testament to countless hours of practice and discipline. Diluc watched and learned, adapting his own style to incorporate the new techniques. He stumbled at first, his body unaccustomed to the demands of this new form of combat. But with Evan's patient guidance, he began to understand, to feel the power and control that came from using his entire body in a fight.

Through their training, Diluc could see glimpses of the old Evan, the man who had always been there for him, the one who had laughed and joked and shared in his triumphs and defeats. But there was still a shadow in his eyes, a hint of the sorrow that had driven him to seek solace in solitude and the rigorous discipline of martial arts. Diluc wanted desperately to help, to find a way to lift the burden that weighed so heavily on his friend's shoulders. Yet, he knew that some battles had to be fought alone, that some wounds could only be healed with time and patience.

As the days passed, their training sessions became a new routine, a way for them to reconnect and rebuild their relationship. Diluc could feel himself growing stronger, not just physically but emotionally, as he embraced the challenges Evan set for him. Diluc knew that the road ahead would still be challenging, that Evan would have to continue to face his demons. But he also knew that they would face them together, side by side, with the unyielding support of their love to guide them.
