Ratchet & Clank AU: The Black Knight.(No More Updates. Ideas On Last Chapter)

Hello, dear readers. Phantom here. Without wanting to beat around the bush, I regret to inform you that I have lost the inspiration to write in the Ratchet & Clank universe. I love this universe, although Insomniac could try to expand lore a bit, but honestly I don't know what to do. Every time I try to write in this fandom, after a while I stray far from this world and try to turn it into something it isn't, like turning Ratchet into a different race, powers and supernatural elements. Yes, magic is in this universe, but they are not the main background, which is different in my case. Additionally, I make huge mistakes, such as adding important elements too early, which spoils the whole story a bit, and I try to force them into something, and when they do appear, I quickly forget about them as if they were not there. That's why I'm canceling my current project "Ratchet & Clank: Black Knight"

But that doesn't mean I'll leave you with nothing. I'm going to give you a list of concepts, ideas and plans and what I managed to write for the current and previous project, this is "The Iron Devil".

So, without further ado, here's the list in question:

Ratchet & Clank: Black Knight:

Initially, I didn't plan to add mythological elements. Instead, the series was to focus more on elements related to Super Soldiers, experiments and everything related to it. It was only when, out of curiosity, I bought a book about Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman (I highly recommend it, by the way), I thought it would be cool to add gods from different Mythologies and call them Avatars (which now seems like a stupid idea to me.)

Paratir was supposed to be the main villain, Sauron wannabe in that universe. But as you probably noticed, it didn't work very well for me and I tried to give him some behaviors that slightly shed light on his various actions. Overall, the idea for it was created by Mr. Eye from Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus. I took the name Paratir from the Greek word "Paratiritis" which means Observer. Our dear Emperor and Mr. Eye were supposed to be the same character, but at some point I decided to make them separate characters.

Ratchet's abilities, such as creating the electric Lombax battle staff and the ice scythe, were taken from Destiny 2. Basically, I wanted Ratchet to be able to create weapons from various elements, such as a rifle shooting hot as sun bullets or a rocket launcher made of antimatter energy.

In general, with Ratchet was whole mess. First, he was supposed to be a super soldier like Noble 6 from Halo, with bioarmor thanks to giving him Loki's DNA( it was supposed to act like the Alcatraz/Prophet nanosuit from Crysis.) Then, when he got a hand with Spartacus, his fighting style was supposed to resemble a mix of Dante and Nero from Devil May Cry. He was even supposed to have something like Devil Trigger, i.e. transformation into a demon, but in this situation he would be a Netherling.

And speaking of Spartacus. Originally, his relationship with Ratchet was supposed to be similar to V's relationship with Johnny Silverhand from Cyberpunk 2077.

The world of the Netherverse and its inhabitants were supposed to resemble demons in their behavior. Barbaric and horrible creatures that want everything else dead.

A few more words about the very beginning of the story. I also wanted to give a rather long segment from Alister's perspective, which was to resemble the journey that Kratos (Nordic one) had with his son.

Honestly, I didn't expect to add Vincent, Mikey, Ralph and Don. I created them for my first story, which unfortunately is now unavailable to me in any way possible. But to be honest, it was nice to have my boys on stage again. I like them very much. By the way, they are based on the turtles from TMNT.

Overall, I wanted to go more with the mercenary/bounty hunter route, but I didn't know exactly how to place it. I had an outline of ideas, but none of them meshed with the Ratchet games. I could either follow the way the planets guided us in the games, or follow my own path. Unfortunately, I chose the first option.
