<Chapter 397: The crazy one, the innocent one, and the laughing one (7)>
Cale put the bag away before approaching Syrem."What bag are you talking about?" TBOAH!Rosalyn asked, unable to contain her curiosity.
"Five billion counds worth of magic stones..." TCF!Choi Han answered, TBOAH!Alberu and TBOAH!Rosalyn's eyes went wide.
"What the-?! How??"
"Young Master Cale also gave me a portion, too!"
"That's-" TBOAH!Rosalyn paused and then sighed, once more conceding defeat to the 'bum in the butter' life her counterpart was living with Cale Henituse as her sponsor."So lucky!!" TBOAH!Rosalyn wanted to whine and bite her handkerchief with envy again. She wanted to see what a kind of portion her counterpart had received if the total had been worth 5 billion counds - she also knew that Young Master Cale wouldn't ever be stingy with sharing things that were helpful to TCF!Rosalyn's growth and progress with her magic, so it must have been an incredible amount. Since everyone else in the hall was calm again, Naur continued the record revealing more of the Roan Kingdom's prison where Syrem was being held.
Syrem was looking at him with a more focused gaze than before. Cale started to smile as he asked.
"You remember his face, right?"
Only Syrem's eyes headed toward Choi Han and then back to Cale as he could not speak. Syrem had fought against Choi Han while wearing a black helmet in the Henituse territory battle."Ahh... so this is the one right? The one Young Master Cale grilled!" TBOAH!Lock asked, corking his head, adopting TCF!Lock's innocent facade of cluelessness in order to tease the red-head who was obviously left flustered and conflicted once again as he recalled what exactly he'd done to Syrem the fake Dragon Slayer.
Cale, in the front row, began taking deep breathes again and stroking Raon's head, comforting and reassuring himself that his son was fine and they'd gotten rid of all the bastards that posed a threat to him.
"The three ancient powers in your possession will now become his."
Syrem's eyes headed back to Choi Han after hearing Cale's comment. His gaze had both resignation for death but also a sense of peace."Looks like someone really understands his situation now!" King Shickler muttered, corking his head and tapping his lip with his index finger as he pensively watched this sight.
A hand was placed on Cale's shoulder.
"Cale-nim." Choi Han stepped forward. "Is it okay if I take care of this?"
Cale looked at Choi Han as if he was slightly surprised. Choi Han, who was asking if he could take care of it, was asking for Cale to step out for a moment and to take his hands off of it.TBOAH!Choi Han corked his head, he didn't really see the importance of this scene or why he would find it to be 'painful' or 'uncomfortable', but since TCF!Choi Han was watching this record with strange nostalgic expression on his face, TBOAH!Choi Han decided he should pay attention and watch what would happen.
"I am enough to discuss these nonessential powers."
Cale started to smile at what Choi Han said next.
"It's not like we need these powers for our plan to work."
Cale could see Syrem's hopes slowly disappear after hearing Choi Han's comment. Choi Han's words and gestures told him that his three ancient powers were not worth much.Sherritt heard a quiet chuckle from TCF!Eruhaben, glancing over at him, she found the young-again Ancient Golden Dragon watching the record with a small amused smirk on his face - he seemed to like this side of TCF!Choi Han.
'Oh, would you look at this? Choi Han had a side like this to him?' Choi Han's usual innocent smile that he still had on his face right now looked extremely sly for once. 'I guess Choi Han isn't just innocent if you think about it.'
