Ghost

Ghost had the mission on his mind and had studied the layout of the house in its entirety. He knew where the objective was and had an idea of how the guards would be monitoring.

Soap had always been the better hacker in the group, but Ghost was envious it wasn't him going in for the meat of the mission. Instead he was just suppose to help with distraction.
Ghost never had been much of a talker and hated the spot light. The thought of assisting in a distraction was irritating.

He changed into his suit in silence. Though he wasn't a fan of the half mask which exposed the lower portion of his face, he would do it for Price.
Ghost finished preening and sat back in his seat adjusting his tie as he did. Soap and Gaz were pouring over their map and going through ideas. Ideas Ghost had already thought of and had planned in detail in his mind. But it was their mission so Ghost remained quiet and sulking in his seat.

The bathroom door clicked open and Ghost saw Soaps head pop up and saucer eyes gleam. Soap let out a long shrill whistle which caused Gaz and Ghost to look towards the reason for the commotion.

She was stunning. A cobalt blue satin dress hugged her curves and flat stomach beautifully. The dress had a modest neck line but her breasts filled it out and gave it shape. A pearl necklace graced her slender neck.
Then Ghost looked at Cades face. She was breathtaking. Her grey eyes had taken on more of a bluish color and her makeup was there but still very natural. Her brown hair was up but strands cascaded down here and there. She was elegant.

Soap started in again complimenting Cade. Ghost gripped his arm rest tightly, knuckles whitening, "Shut it Soap!". Ghost didn't want to hear Soap running his cocksucker anymore. Cade was clearly uncomfortable with the attention and Soap wasn't taking the hint.

Ghost watched Cade come take her seat diagonal to him. He wanted to look away but couldn't. Couldn't even nod when she silently thanked him. He could only stare. Stare at her beauty before him.

Her eyes wandered his face, he knew this was the most she had seen of it and he secretly was beginning to hope she didn't hate it.

Ghost finally tore his eyes away and went to staring back out the window. If he looked any longer he would have to go to the bathroom to hide himself from others. He was fighting self control and had to adjust his seat a few times.

He could still feel her eyes lingering and his stomach rushed wondering if maybe she didn't hate him as much as he had thought.

Ghost lost Gaz and Soap at a light. His mind during the drive had been stuck on the prior mission and the bullet graze Cade had received. He didn't want that to happen again. Especially not tonight. It should be an in and out mission, they wouldn't need to be shooting. All had a gun just in case.
All but Cade at least. She had no where to strap one. Ghost grabs Cade arm firmly but not in a way to cause pain, "If anyone gets injured or killed.." he was speaking more about her but Cade interrupted, "You'll kill me. Bury me. Make it hurt. Yup. With any luck it will be me again."

Knowing how she was when she was comfortable Ghost added, "Watch your surroundings. Keep your eyes open and know what is going on around you all the time." He hoped this would transfer over to other missions also. Or even just around the barracks. Other units would use the base occasionally and he didn't want her lackadaisical habits to jam her up.

Ghost began driving but his hand stayed on Cades arm. She was so warm, her skin was soft and Ghost didn't realize his actions as he ran his thumb along her. He felt a shiver go through Cade and quickly put both hands on the steering wheel. 'Idiot' he thinks to himself.
