Ghost

Ghost trailed Cade to the gym. She had struck him with her last comment and though he assumed she was joking, he realized he still didn't know her well enough to be certain.

"Why didn't you beat the hell out of Mandrik?" Ghost assumed he knew the answer.
Cade paused briefly before answering, "Because I didn't want to start a scene." She sighed quietly and continued, "If I would have started something it would have turned into a rescue mission and that would have potentially gotten the team into more trouble."

Ghost had guessed his answer. Cade was loyal almost to a fault. Placing herself into a bad spot so the rest could get out. "Next time," Ghost held the door open as they entered the gym, "you figure out a way to tell us before some guy is forcing his tongue down your throat."

Cade just looked at Ghost, he wasn't trying to continuously scold her, but he wanted her to ask for help if needed. "I need someone annoying to keep Soap company."

"You're a dick Lieutenant." Cade slipped on boxing gloves and squared up on the mat room floor, "whenever you're ready masky."

Ghost stood in front of Cade unmoving. He wanted her to throw the first move, for two reasons. To see what power she had and to see if she had a go to move something he would be able to read and anticipate for the future.

Cade half circled Ghosts massive frame, their eyes locked. He couldn't help but wonder how it was for her and the height difference. He was all of 6' 4" and she was 5'6" maybe 5'7". He had almost a full ten inches on her and not to mention the sheer body mass difference between them. But she had fought well before, so he knew she would again.

Ghost watched as Cade sized him up, looking for a weak point or a position of advantage. Suddenly she rushed him, delivering two jabs before leaping back to dodge his gloved fist.
'She's quick.'
Cade launched in for another jab but Ghost caught her arm and spun her into him. She responded with an elbow to his ribs and attempted to shift his center of gravity, however with his size and weight she buckled and they both went to the ground. Ghost scrambled and straddled her stomach. Waiting for the smart ass remark she might make.
Instead, she attempted to buck him off her but to no avail. Ghost, not wanting to damage her, decided to give some easy slaps to her face, but then she was suddenly gone. Cade had narrowed herself, shifted his weight ever so slightly and pushed herself out from under him, reappearing behind him and quickly getting to her feet to put him in a chokehold.

Ghost reached up with two hands, extending fully on his knees before dropping to the floor, bringing Cade down to her back, but her feet caught her. She still had a hold of Ghosts neck and was in basically a bridged position.
Ghost delivered three shots to her ribs, with more force than he had assumed, and she let go, standing to her feet and bringing foot around to kick.
The kick connected, but Ghost clamped down on her foot before Cade could withdraw and he twisted, standing as he did so. In order to avoid sprain or spiral fracture, Cade twisted around with it and went to the ground.
Ghost then straddled her again, but this time while she was on her stomach, and put her in a choke. Her ability to go anywhere was gone. She was trapped and he had won.

"Again." Ghost wasn't going to accept her loss. He wanted her to fight with everything she had and wanted her to beat him. He wanted to know that she could win no matter what.

Ghost locked eyes with Cade as they circled each other. "Don't hold back Lieutenant. I'm a big guy and can handle it. Make every fight count. Even against your team."

Cades eyes flashed with a hint of a smirk when Ghost said 'your team', he recognized how desperately she wanted to feel a part of something again.
