Chapter 16

Noah's POV

Thea's family arrives at the pack house, and I await them to pull up. I walk up to security and let them know they are coming. A few moments later Thea's family pulls up and I see her mother and father rush out of the car with their son.

"How is she?" her father asks.

"She is inside and stable, a bit dehydrated but other than that she is fine," I tell him.

"Can I see my baby girl?" her mother asks.

"Of course, I'll have someone come bring you to her," I say.

I mind-link one of the lower pack members and instruct them on what to do. They bring Thea's mom to her.

"What the hell happened?" her brother asks.

"Thea was taken, we are not sure why, we went there to take care of them and bring back their Alpha, but unfortunately Jackson got hurt, so our only other option was to get the two of them to safety and back here. I have people from our pack and neighboring packs out looking for them. I promise you we will find these people and as soon as we do, I will let you know. Right now, your daughter, our future Luna, and our Alpha are our top priority." I say.

"Thank you, Noah." Her father says.

"You both can go in and see her, and you all are more than welcome to stay here on the grounds with us. We have a guest house out back." I say.

"Thank you." Thea's brother says as their little sister comes out of the car.

"How old is she?" I ask.

"Oh, Emma is 13." Her brother says to me.

I nod as I walk in with the three of them following closely behind. I take them to Thea's room in the hospital wing as I hear someone mind-link me that Jackson is awake.

"If you all will excuse me," I say as I turn to leave.

Thea's POV

"W-where am I?" I ask sitting up in the bed groggily.

"Oh, sweetie you awake." My mother states from the chair beside my bed. As I look around, I see my mother, father, brother, and little sister.

"Jackson, where is he?" I say getting up.

"Honey, you need to lie down and rest you just went through something, and Jackson got hurt but he is going to be okay, you have nothing to worry about." My father says.

"I don't care I need to see him," I say trying to get out of the bed.

"Thea no you need to stay in bed," Jake says.

I groan and lay back down knowing that there is no use in trying to argue with my family as we all are stubborn. The only person I can think about right now is Jackson, is he okay, is he alive, all these questions are running through my mind and yet here I am, stuck on a hospital bed with all these what if's thoughts. I cannot believe this happened to me. Why me out of all people? I just do not understand why terrible things keep happening to me. What did I do to deserve this? I just cannot help but feel like Jackson getting hurt is my fault. If I just did what I was told and listened to people, then maybe none of this would have happened. But, I can't think about that now, all I know is I am falling for Jackson, and I know someway somehow, I have to tell him, but the only question for this problem is, how the hell do I get my family to agree to let me leave?
