chapter 20

Dan's POV

We walked around for a bit , looking at all the little stands and eating our candy floss  ,I'm loving this date its turned out pretty well to be honest

Every time I saw Phil he was looking at a stand  or the lights
"Dan can we get these lights and put them in our room?"
"I can have a look online tonight"
"Thanks" Phil really loved it here ,so did I 

I can't wait to get home so me and Phil can spend time together .

*Phil's POV *

Dan was always looking at me ,I could tell he was, I could see in the corner of my eye that every time he looked at me he had. This little smile and his one  dimple sunk into his face .

There was a ride ,like a farytale ride with a carriage and on the side was a love heart and birds
"Phil can I take you on this ride"
I couldnt have been more excited "please"

The ride was basically a carrige with a screen inside and so you shut the doors and put on these 3d glasses and it looks like your on a real moving ride ,it was so cool .

As soon as we step out I could tell something was different ,the street didn't.feel as happy and exciting as it was when I got.on the ride , it looks like everybody els noticed as well everybody looked scared as if something happened but we didn't know "Dan?" I whispered "yes ?" He whispered back "what's going on ?"
"I-i don't know"
I look around ,nobody is looking at us  so its not us ,so what is it .
Me and Dan stood solid in front of the carrige with our hands strongly held together.

Then..

A loud bang came from the end of the street , you could hear a screaming sound , everybody began to panic
And run around in attempt to get to safety ,me and Dan stood still together .
Each time the gunman came closer Dan held my hand tighter
"Dan your hurting me" Dan turned to face me , he was trembling
"I'm protecting you"
He was so scared ,so was I

The gunman was really close my palms began to sweat but Dan didn't let go . the man finally got to us
He was wearing a mask but.you could tell it was a man. He let out a sickening laugh "so we've got ourselves a couple lovers eh"
He looks at us both and smiles
"Wouldn't it be a shame if "
He slides over to Dan and presses the gun to his head "something were to happen to him"
Dan let go of hand and threw them above his head,he pressed his body as much against the carrige as he could
He was in floods of tears
The man proceeded to push his finger on the trigger  I was scared for Dan
"Run" he said ,he whispered so quietly I couldn't hear. "What?"
He yelled as loud as he could
"RUN!" I didn't wait another second
I turn around and being to run, then I heard a gunshot .
I didn't want to turn around to find my boyfriend dead on the floor but I feel like I had to . I swivel around to find the man running away ,I face Dan he looked terrified he was still crying but he wasn't hurt, I look down to find my shirt covered in blood ,
my eyes went blurry, my head dizzy my legs numb, and with that I fell to the floor.
